I was dealing with pretty severe stomach pain and based on the symptoms it was most likely pancreatitis or a gallbladder issue. So, prior to blood tests I was told to cut out fat and I did and it got 'somewhat' better. It came back with a vengeance so I went back to the doc and 'they' (my GP and an internal medicine specialist) suspected an ulcer caused by H Pylori. I was given Tecta and within 36 hours, I was pain free. Told not to take NSAIDS hence the no aspirin. Why can't you take aspirin anymore?
I have to be off tecta for two weeks to take the H Pylori test and 4 days after I stopped, it came back so it confirmed it is most likely an ulcer.
My doc knows I look after myself and don't go to the doctor unless something is really bothering me so she takes me pretty seriously and ordered an ultrasound as well / referred me to an internal medicine specialist. I will have an abdominal ultrasound tomorrow and the H Pylori test should be back within 4-5 days (having it done today) so we can discuss the results of both tests next week.
