A very large friend why had been training for 25 years come off for a year. He lost a bit, but it wasn’t that bad. I wouldn’t worry about losing a bit.

my buddy is too large anyways, almost 260lbs at 5’7” cannot be healthy long term. He’s more around 230 now and is still huge compared to most.
For sure man. I'm not worried even if I do lose a bit at this point as I still look good. I'm going to go down a path now of a much healthier lifestyle while still being fit and in shape. No more get as big and shredded as possible. I just feel like shit doing that . And I've really realized how shitty I do feel doing that now that I've done this.

This is why I don’t run much gear anymore. I feel a hundred times better.
 
Ya its not even worth it anymore. Maybe some TRT in the distant future but that's it.

100% it's way more fun. A lot easier on relationships as well. I know all about the waking up to eat thing. My go to was always cereal but, being blessed with a crazy metabolism it's didn't affect me in that way. I do think it affected the quality of my sleep so I cut that out quite a while ago now.

Honestly the way I eat I should be 40% body fat especially at 50. But I calipered the other day and 16% is where I am with zero effort in watching how many calories I eat. I am horrible lots of times.
But when I was under 30, at 140 lbs I needed almost 6000 calories to grow. It was horrible, some times I didn’t know where it all got burnt, but I’m very energetic. Im not as hyper as I was, but when younger, I’d work 7am-6pm then come home eat train till 9pm then renovate the house till midnight, wake up and do it all over again.

Now I need a nap after work, 30 min, but then I’m gtg till 11 pm and I get up at 6 am now.

I believe this is part of the reason I could never really get large. I’m bigger than average, but not large. Well it’s too late now at 50 anyways, lol.
 
For never having to watch what you eat and still sitting at 16 thats great man. Some people look at an ice cream sandwich and gain 5lbs.

I was a very skinny active kid and to look back on the amount of food I had to eat and actually ate to get to where I am.....just the thought of it make me sick lol.

I'm kind of in the same boat. With my metabolism being fast and always being active I just couldn't physically eat the calories I had to to get big big. I'm way bigger than average but to get big big I couldn't do it. And believe me I tried.

I honestly think also that some of our digestive systems just won't allow it. I can eat but at a certain point my body gives me the middle finger and at that point I just feel disgusting which I believe is totally counter productive.

I found that I would shit so much when I ate too much. I have a theory that at one time I had a digestive system that moved too fast and maybe I wasted a bunch of food that didn’t get digested. Also maybe coffee 3 times a day didn’t help as it increases movement in the digestive system.

But in retrospect, all you really need to be is bigger than average, fairly lean and people are envious and stare and the woman smile. Thats all that really matters, lol.

But you are going to enjoy the lower gear when you get back on. I feel 10 times better and not just good when I train.

Thats so weird because I also thought the same thing about absorbing nutrients. When I was eating large amounts of food I would shit on average 4 times a day. Three times within 2 hours of waking up every day. Obviously I didn't have a problem with getting rid of waste but like you I often wonder about absorption and the processing of food.
 
End of week 3 and a few things I've noticed...

I need A LOT more recovery time between workouts. 2 days in a row and I'm toast, I need a day off. Before I could train 4 days in a row before I would need a day off, now its 2. And only does my body feel beat up, my CNS does as well. This is also with decreased overall workload.

My sex drive is WAY lower. Its dropped off even more than it did already although when the time comes to have sex there's no issues with performance.

I'm getting a decent amount of elbow pain and pain in the joints of my thumbs post any upper body workout. This is strange because I've never had any joint pain whatsoever. I'm going to start a collagen and turmeric supplement to see if these have any effect on it.

I've had a couple days where my body is very lethargic. My thoughts are this is my body adjusting to the state it is in now or potentially some inflammation for all the stress it was under previously, or both. Either way my plan is too add in a few supplements to aid my body getting rid of inflammation if there is any as well and time restricted eating for the next few weeks.

My workouts are still great and the pumps are ridiculous. Muscles are still very full. I continue to get leaner as my calories are much lower than before. Overall I prefer the way I look now compared to before.

Overall still a net positive. I will be going to get regular bloodwork to check overall health within the next 2 weeks followed my some bloodwork to check all my hormone levels in 5-6 weeks through an actual hormone clinic. I've very interested to see both sets of bloodwork and will post my thoughts on them when the time comes.

I wonder if the lower nutrient intake is creating some of your recovery issues. Normally it is recommended not to drop your food down during pct, but wait till you recover?
This could also be causing the inflimation? I would try eating foods higher in connective tissues like skin on chicken thighs, ribeye or blade steaks., medium ground beef (just pour off the excess fat).
That may help, before I added in other supplements. Maybe let your body adjust on its own for a month and see where it takes you?
I think sometimes we jump on things too fast and don’t allow our body to adjust.

Also I know that over all the years when I go from cycle to trt, there is always a period where it feels like I’m falling to shit then my body adjusts and it fine again. Not like when you are on gas though, lol. I let my body compensate on its own, I actually think of the horrible period as a goid thing, a rebound period. When I’d be worried is if it never stopped feeling really horrible.

And to increase your sex drive, avoid all porn. You stay away from that for a couple weeks you’ll have sex dreams again, lol.

Interesting thought on the food intake, I completely agree. When I came off gear completely I went into a mindset of just wanting to give my whole system a break, everything, and thats why I dropped my food intake including my red meat intake. This could be part of the reason as well as you stated as red meat is so nutrient dense. I actually have red meat planned for today so we'll see how this affects me tomorrow.

When I came off gear completely I went into a mindset of just wanting to give my whole system a break, everything, and thats why I dropped my food intake including my red meat intake. This could be part of the reason as well as you stated as red meat is so nutrient dense. I actually have red meat planned for today so we'll see how this affects me tomorrow.

I have a horrible porn addiction that I’m trying to get under control. When I was younger I had real issues keeping my labido under control, porn helped to fux that, but then I got carried away. You are right there is no benefit and it does have a negative effect on our brains.

Beef isn’t bad for bodybuilders, but in moderation. I doubt eating a pound in one sitting is likely good for digestion, lol. But I try and keep my servings under 12 oz and I’m fine. With a larger portion I take a digestive enzyme, you dont get gas or that hard to process feeling if you eat 16 oz, lol.

I watched a lot of porn years ago along with having sex everyday. I was like a fucking wild animal. I went down a rabbit hole one day, as I often do, on the psychological effects of watching porn and let me tell you, it is very bad. It's a subconscious thing too that develops over time.

I belive that all these years I’ve always had an easy time maintain muscle even without weight training because I eat beef every day, usually twice.
‘My brother didn’t eat as much beef.
So my brother responded well to creatine, I got nothing from it, I believe because I was getting enough from the beef I ate.
I’m done porn next week. It’s going to be difficult, it’s become a bad habit.
I believe streaming porn is one of the worst things to happen.
 
Losing size isnt always a bad thing. Im probably about 15lb less now then i was 4 years ago and this is due to dropping cals and lowering some of the savagery in the gym cause of age and injuries. I have not really come off at all, just lowered everything. This goes to show that drugs are great but food and training are still the driving force.
I dont get as much attention as i use to but im older now and i dont need it anymore. Finally growing up i guess

Not at all. I actually feel a lot more normal. I've lost size for sure but most water, all the muscle is still there.

I just got to a point where I thought the benefit isn't worth the risk anymore. A few negative things were happening and I had a gut feeling I shouldn't be doing this like I have been. And gut feelings are never wrong.
 
Good stuff Brother an all normal for the course. This is when i implement a bit of a PCT, as most everything should be cleared from your system now i believe you said 3 weeks.

This gets me feeling better, increases my appetite and helps in recovery. Every thing you have noted is exactly to the T of what i have experienced. So i do a PCT for several weeks, you know the details etc. i wont insult your intelligence laying out. I am just here for support and saying i feel you, and I've been there...
It is not a bad idea to lower calories when off, we are not turbo charged any more and if we stay eating like we are, we will be fat.

I also implement a few supplements now at this point, horny goat weed, MACA, tribulus etc. I keep amino acids high, along with protein and joint support supplements. We will lose water which increases the space in our joints and less cushion etc with lower water floating about, Joint supplements seem to help.
Serra Peptase is a great supplement for inflammation, i use religiously. Any health food store, get the 120,000 doseage one if you do look into it.

Once you start the pct your sex drive may increase a bit. I always find it odd the boners that are always kicking in in the AM while going off...WTF...lol..
Anyways, at 8-12 weeks off, i start looking at my stash again, i get bloods done, a good overall health check and start off slow and low, but one day i will go straight TRT, real TRT and drop the extra shit, but that day is a a ways away still, tis cycle after last break is going great...I love being off, and once things level out, its a great thing, knowing how easy it is to get everything back is mind peace as well...It happens fast if you choose to become turbo boosted once again.

And even with the minor negatives I'm still in a net plus. I'm glad I went down this road without a doubt.

As far as PCT goes. I had gone back and forth on if I should do a full blown PCT or not. If I should run an HCG course only.....I got linked up with a good hormone clinic with an actual specialist. None of this GP shit. My thought now is to just do my 8 weeks and then go see him and get on a actual TRT protocol that way. It's quite a good set up.

I won't do any more big cycles. It alters my brain too much now but, Im not sure I want to do the PCT route and stay natural forever you know what I mean? I'm really not fond of that thought.

That is a good method for sure to see a TRT doc completely clear. In 8 weeks in theory you should have the test of a 15 year old girl....Then the TRT doc will see the results and act. Good plan.
Sometimes i don't even do the full PCT, i just plop in a few HCG shots at 500 ius over several weeks a couple times per week and just some nolva low dose.
Last time i did that in the summer, i went in for bloods after 12 weeks and my test levels were one point away from top end of test ref range. I was high test even prior to starting roids as i went and got a bunch of tests done prior to starting out many years ago. I still have the damn things because i am an anal weirdo. I was over the natural ref range by a decent amount, i don't recall numbers, ill have to dig my files out someday again.
But i always get back into normal and high normal range within 3 months, I believe at 8 weeks i did some bloods prior and i was low end of normal, not in normal range, so i was going to try it at 6 weeks or 4 weeks after tapering right down, but attempting to keep myself shut down and then go see a doc for TRT , i just haven't done it yet.
