Improving sleep quality

Holy fuck that's ridiculous... I did hear from a guy at work that he has been waiting on a replacement machine for quite a while. Do you think they would allow you to purchase a second hand machine to speed up the process?
Probably but I live in a remote area so if your closer to some major cities you shouldn't have a problem. They have to calibrate it to your doctors perscription then further down the road he may want you to do one more study with your machine to make sure it's working and track your heart, eyes and oxygen again.

You can buy your own cpap machine for 1/3 of the price you can at the places sleep studies send you. I needed a sleep study and it took 3 years approx to get a call. Needless to say I laughed and don't take it personal but please tell the doctor who ordered this to go fuck themselves. I wasn't going to do it out of spite.
I was tested for sleep apnea later and it was terrible - I have a machine and 4 hours sleep is better than 6 before. I don't sleep well and MK677 and script HGH makes sleep much worse for me and it does for a lot of people. Morning, pre-workout, at night - makes no difference HGH I find is terrible for sleep. Many people here will state the same and some will start HGH or MK and sleep a few nights and post they are fixed. I am not saying it won't help some as logically it should but I know enough guys who have done years of script HGH and it fucks up their sleep.
The only remedy that worked for me was remeron / mirtazapine. Trazadone at 50 mg a night worked well for a few weeks and then my body got used to it. Remeron is the the new medication docs and vets reach for people/animals that won't sleep and in particular for animals dogs that won't eat. It's negative is hunger and it can be annoying.
The dosage is usually 7.5 mg a night as needed and I'm out for 6 hours. It is an anti-depressant usually prescribed at 30-45 mg a day.
I take 10-20 mg of dual action melatonin at night - not only is melatonin good for sleep but beat the shit out of NAC and Vitamin E in liver studies when animals were injected with liver toxic substances and it is an anti-inflammatory. I can run out, stop and still sleep with no issues.

Everyone should research and do what they feel is best but I will forever take melatonin in different dosages as it does help me fall asleep / stay asleep with dual action tabs / and it beats the shit out of most antioxidants in ORAC scores and studies against organ toxic substances.

Most docs hand out Remeron like candy and yes you will feel a little drugged in the morning when you take it. It will pass - as with all medications that mess with your brain chemicals: Talk to a health care professional and research for contradictions. Some doctors are idiots and will give you two meds that have dangerous interactions.

I bought a sleep Apnea machine off of Kijjiji for $100. There is old people who have these machines die all the time and the family sells them to make a couple bucks.

Mine is a resmed 10 with the humidity. I know it is an older model, but it only had like 800 hours on it total.

Thing is great. I just set the air till your mask leaks too much then turn it down a hair. You need to figure out the balance between how tight you want the mask and the air pressure you can use.

I asked my wife if I snore, and she says I never snore or make any weird noises anymore. Actually it bothered her at first because I have snored since my 20’s and she couldn’t fall asleep without hearing my snoring, lol.

As far as gh and fucking up my sleeping. I have never ran that much, but I notice I sleep harder but sometimes wake up before my alarmclock and then can’t fall back asleep. Its annoying because sometimes I only get like 6 hours of sleep. I get the same with the CJC/IPAM combo.

Mind you I am not tired the next day, so I guess I slept more deeply. I should wear my smart watch while taking and not to see if there is a difference.

I would bet if I was taking higher doses my sleep would be shit.

I've been using GH for 2 weeks now & i'm fairly certain its improving my sleep. I've also bumped my melatonin up to 10mg so im sure that's playing a role as well. Last night I slept surprisingly well considering the circumstances. I train legs on Saturdays, my CNS is destroyed after and I'm a couch potato for the remainder of the day. I'm usually restless that night, up and down all night. Last night was different though. I was a little restless initially and had a tough time falling asleep, however I strung together quite a few hours of sleep before waking for a pee. I was only up that once. I'm hoping this persists.

Finally made it to my appointment with the specialist this morning. Left with great news. Turns out it's sleep apnea i'm dealing with. What a relief, thank god its not narcolepsy or something of that nature. The doc described it as "severe", but i've definitely heard much worse numbers. During my study I slept 4 hours and stopped breathing 130 times.
Machine is currently on order, didn't get any ETA though. Hopefully it's not too long.
A lot of weight off my shoulders here. I have a feeling this will help resolve alot of my issues such as elevated BP, shitty mood, and maybe I can finally grow some damn muscle! haha.

Back when I was 320lbs I had 86 per hour. At 240 I don't seem to have any like 6 per night but I'm almost 270 ATM and I think I'm gonna have to use mine again, the masks take awhile to get used to but try a couple and you'll find something tolerable. It will save your life

I usually cycle through different supps that help with sleep. I struggle as well sometimes and only get a few hours.

One of my favorites is a scoop of Red Bali or Super Red (Kratom). Makes me very relaxed and I sleep like a baby.

If Im stacking L Tryptophan with L Theanine (2 servings a day) this helps quite a bit too within a week of starting.

Larger doses of CBD always helps and if its really bad I will take a small dose of Phenibut (By itself). This has potential for addiction but so does many other things... Moderation is key and it can be a life saver for the rough nights where im tossing and turning.

Lack of sleep is horrible and catches up to a guy pretty quick!

Does OHIP cover CPAPs? Or will I have to go through my benefits?
I want to say it covers about half and my benefits covered the other half.

Just wait until you get used to it after a few months and the real result kick in. I have been using it for 6 months and somehow my capacity for cardio has doubled without doing anything different. I have close to the cardio now that I did in high school, but I weigh 100 pounds more. I almost wonder if I needed it years ago.

Nice!! I don't want to get too ahead of myself in terms of expectations. I'm really hoping it will allow me to handle/recover from more training volume. Currently my volume is at about a bare minimum. I know I'll grow much better if I can start to take on more.

Don’t expect it all right away. The changes are very cumulative. My first month I would wake up after 4 hours with a headache. You remember that groggy feeling you would get as a kid when you slept in waaay too much? I was so sleep deprived that just a couple of hours of real sleep would do that to me. Slowly your body will adjust. Each month you will notice more and more benefits.

thanks for the heads up!

You won't need naps as anywhere near as often and this may seems like an obvious or dumb tip but please remember to use it if you have a nap also.

I often tell myself that I don't need it for only a half an hour but then wake up feeling worse rather than better and am disappointed that I was foolish and didn't use it.

I hear that. I went on vacation and didn’t feel like bringing it. I didn’t realize how much it helped until I spent a couple of days without it. I felt so off like I was carrying around around a 20 Pound weight vest everywhere I went.
