this is so funny, as a kid growing up I would frequent the local mall and noticed the GAMES WORKSHOP. Went in didnt know anything and bought myself some glue, paint, brushes and a single model - a giant metal bat thing. painted that shit up with like 3 colors and brought it to elementary school show & tell and everyone was blown away lol. Then my friends in highschool started collecting and we would have games not even following the official game rules or anything. Must have spent over 800$ on spacemarines and tyranids and paint, was a spoiled kid by my parents. One day decided to sell them all on ebay for probably half what was spent. Ah the memories.
I consider getting back into it from time to time but then I look online and see the prices and cringe. It would be hilarious to set up a local canadian brawn warhammer 40k club, go to a games workshop and see a bunch of jacked dudes rolling dices and playing with little painted figures
what am I doing to keep relatively sane with the virus shutting it all down? mainly walking the dog, home workouts, smoking/drinking (two vices I need eliminate), sleeping, music, old movies
today I started reading the art of war, actually its a audiobook so I can listen and lift together. Quite a interesting 'read' even if not all of it is applicable to todays lifestyle.
