Covid stocks

After employing a lot of people on the lower end of the food chain, they don’t chose to be poor.
Some just don’t have the mental fortitude to make more.
Not everyone is a go getter like you and me.
Truthfully you need the poorer people to produce things so the rest of us can afford it. Otherwise it’s socialism. We are all equally meh.

Now the ones who sat on CERB when they were called back to work and now don’t have jobs, that was completely their fault.

The biggest thing screwing everyone is our overabundance of taxes. Every time they increase the carbon tax, the poor get poorer. The new tax will hit them even harder. One might thing because they don’t drive, they will be fine, but bus rates will increase, anything shipped will increase, well that’s everything. You think meats expensive now, lol.

I completely understand what you are saying.
Wealth can be relative though.
I mean what I have compared to some rich people is absolutely nothing.
Compared to a min wage worker it is a lot.
Having the go getter attitude is a choice to a certain extent in my opinion. It can be learned behaviour.

Here is the thing. A min wage worker can pick up some extra shifts or an extra job. Live in a situation that may not be ideal, but say they share a 5 bedroom house with 5 roommates rather than an apartment on their own. They can slowly start to save money and get them self to the next step in life. Not everyone can be successful....or can they be but just relative to their reality???

I believe ppl in lower tax brackets actually got a nice carbon rebate.

Most taxes are something called "wealth redistrubutiion" which is a ligitimate technique to get out of a recession depending on what caused the recession. I don't belive the bullshit taxes happening right now are an effort to redistribute wealth.. the taxes now are to pay for shit the government spent..

In real wealth redistriutuojn, money is taxed from the upper middle class and upper class and given to the lower class. This is done because lower class will spend that money and producititvity going again whereas upper middle and upper class will hold that money sometimes and therefore that money isn't being used to keep the economy going. People earning and spending money keep the "machine" going..

Because whats happening right now isnt wealth redistribution, I agree the taxes right now are 100% keeping lower class down and are brinigng middle class closer to lower class than they were a few years ago. This is going to have a compound effect when lower/middle class have even less money to spend.. Less spending will equal economy being even worse off.

Your right, but also take into consideration a LOT of people who are living lower class and pay check to pay check oftne make poor life choices beyond just their spending and earnings.

Compare a single guy to a guy with a live in gf or wife..

MUCH cheaper to live with a partner.

Compare a couple with kids and without..

Much cheaper without kids.

Compare couple with 2 kids to couple with 5 kids..

Night and day difference in cost of living.

Compare a guy who divorced with a woman and has child support/ alomony etc..

So many factors lol..

But many people never stop and think how their decisions truly impact their cost of living.

Like I said, so many factors and its often not black and white..

Where do you buy actual gold and not get screwed.
I have heard of a black market trading in gold from all the day/week miners that work up north north. A lot of them get paid in gold. A lot of the claim owners get paid at least partially in gold. The guys with big operations like Tony Beets only claim a portion of the gold they get and the rest just has the cost of mining it applied to it's cost.

All of this excess gold is traded on the darknet.

As I've been TOLD. I don't know whether to believe or trust a damn thing if there actually is a black market but when you look at it, there must be a black market somewhere that takes dollars for gold so that the gold isn't taxed 40% by Sir Justeen Trudeau. It just makes too much sense for there NOT be gold black markets. How do you trust it all though? How do you not end up poorer if somewhere is 100% scam.

Shady business but buying gold for lets say 20% maybe 40% less would be damnn nice. The gold goes into your safe at home and just continues to appreciate in value as gold is never going to go down based on world need versus world supply.

Amazing
Now you are an expert on black market Gold, just like everything else.

As usual you are way off of thread topic.

I'm an expert in nothing at all. Have never professed to that. Those are your words so maybe you are the expert? You certainly are an expert in trying to make my posts something they are not.

I just pay attention and hope to pass on things I hear.
A black market exists somewhere where people wholesale undeclared gold. Just like blood diamonds from the Congo
That is logical. Finding the market and not getting scammed are obviously complely different things.

Lol, I could see there being a black market. There is for pretty much everything else.
Not sure if I’d want to chance it though, lol.

Virtual black markets are unfortunately like that. You need to see and speak to "the guy" to trust him and the last thing "the guy wants is anyone to know who he is.

Its a bit like getting gear. :p

my friend in edmonton says there are lineups at sports stores for xcountry skis
Prolly for this purchase time of year. Our local fitness club we hang with does 3 or 4 events out to yurts along with xcountry skis and/or snowshoes and an absolutely 😍 stunning amount of alcohol.

Suncor has potential to come back strong. SU:TSX. If oil comes back next year or in two years this stock should double. Also like the canadian bank stocks. They all pay a good dividend and were under valued before Covid. They should comeback strong.

I’ve got a good chunk of suncor
I’m short on banks at the moment. I personally want them quite a bit cheaper
When they get cheap I will buy

I always say invest in what you like. So if Pareto had a stock I would invest in them!! Seriously though, Cruise companies have gotten destroyed. I love cruises especially Norwegian so the cruise industry is something that could come back but very risky. Also the movie theater stock Cineplex took a beating. Movie theaters have been around for ever so I think once this clears up and big movie companies start producing again Cineplex could be a good buy.

I was thinking that one as well. Theaters were hit hard

They are tearing cruise ships apart. I just watched a you tube documentary video on it. Sad when it’s worth more as scrap.

hold on to your hats.. The USA election will deffinitely sway things on the market based on what the new president is going to do to support their economy, reinstate the rent laws they had during covid, continue giving checks to those not working due to covid et.
