Bandit’s Contest Prep Log - 18 & 20 weeks out

I've been thinking of trying melatonin, never used it before but I know it works for a lot of guys
It’s very effective from my experience.

I don’t think it’s necessary to use it as high as I am besides in short term situations such as contest prep like im doing. However, lots of people out there using megadoses year round. I’ve heard of several-100mg per night.

Outside of contest prep I’ll usually do cycles of it where I start at 10 and end up tapering it up to 30-40mg. Eventually I find it starts to interrupt my sleep more than improve it so I’ll bring it right back down to 10. Or even sometimes stop taking it for a couple days. Don’t know if there’s any validity behind this approach but seems to work for me.

Trazodone is great for sedating you but won’t necessarily keep you in a deep sleep. The sedative effects do make it easier to fall back asleep when you wake though. Gotta be careful with the dosing though. Too much will make you feel intoxicated

That's my issue with a lot of pharma sleep-aids: they put you to "sleep" but it's not quality sleep. Maybe combining with melatonin is the secret sauce that I'm missing.

Sorry totally overlook your question. My bad brother. I’m not 100% sure if there’s a live stream or not.

Here’s the website for the show

I don’t see anything on there about a stream but I can ask the promoter if there is expected to be one. My guess would be no, otherwise they’d be advertising it already.
Despite my username, I'm no longer in Vancouver and live somewhat close to Hamilton. To hell with live streams, I'm going to attend the event in person!

Yeah I’m lucky if I can get 5 hours too. I think it’s great he can be on Tren and still sleep over 8 hours. If I run Tren even a low dose, there’s no way I’m getting over 5 hours lol.
Not to derail, but I'm currently on 250 Tren E a week and outside of slightly oilier skin, I haven't had any negative side effects. Always seems to be one end of the pendulum or the other.

Don't want to derail the thread so apologies @BanditNOLIMIT, but melatonin is one of the best antioxidants available as well as a decent sleep aid. It beats the shit out of most on the ORAC table. It beat NAC and very high dose vitamin E in study on protecting the liver against Tylenol toxicity. It is a great liver protectant. It is also very good for your eyes and beat most steroid drops in results for healing some eye issues.
One gent here said it didn't help his sleep but strangely enough it helped his sight - there are numerous studies to show this. One of protection dogs had bad eyes, which isn't good when your goal is get an arm and not a neck. He was 125 lbs and 5 mg's of delayed release at night helped his sight more than prednisolone (not prednisone) or any of the other drops did (that is a subjective opinion). They had him on 4 drops and I am confident the melatonin did more for him long term than anything else. For guys on gear - the anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, protecting nature for the liver, and of course deeper sleep is great.
Again - @BanditNOLIMIT, this is your log so apologies but I take it for sleep and for the health benefits. This concept you become dependent never occurred with me. If I run out and do not have any, I still sleep with no issues so my body must still be producing it naturally and I have been using it for years.
I find remeron (low dose - it is an anti-depressant like trazadone) but in low doses 3.75-7.5 mg vs. a regular dose of 30-45 mg knocks me out in 30 minute. Added benefit if you want to eat more - it makes you very hungry. They give it to dogs who won't eat.
I will shut up about dogs now lol.

188.8 (-1.0) - rest day today

Body is ripping through what we’re putting in it. Coach wants the weight / food to stick.

We’re going to try adding some fats today to see if we can get it to stick.

Meals for the day will be 40P/100C/10F

digestion has been on point lately so hoping that continues with the addition of fats.

Checking in again after M1 and 1L fluid.

Check in after M1
140g chicken, 300g rice, 18g honey, 75g green bean, 10g coconut oil
1L fluid, 2g salt

Feeling noticeably fuller with the addition of some fats to the meal. Everything was firing super well.
Id say notably arms and delts look alot fuller in the front shots as well.

Working through some posing adjustments with my coach. Side shots are the focus right now. A couple tweaks already showing promising improvements. More hamstring drop, better glute feathering and overall more detail in the side leg. I think that shot is gonna come together nicely with practice.

Forgot to update this morning

Weight - 190.2 (+1.4llbs)

With the addition of +10F per meal yesterday, the food definitely stuck better.

Digestion held up very well compared to the previous time we tried to push the fats up which is such a huge relief. That being said, I could definitely notice the food was moving through me slower and that there was still food digesting when I woke up this morning. A few good BMs today and I’m feeling “cleared out” again.

We ran the baseline diet today. Appetite running quite high right now which is a great sign.

Trained chest/shoulders. Intensity and volume pulled right back as per coaches instructions. Strength felt good and held a pretty solid pump through the entire session.

Counting the days at this point and trying to keep my emotions at bay. It’s pretty overwhelming but I’m trying to focus on disconnecting from everything as much as possible and focusing on making sure I give myself plenty of time to make sure I have everything properly prepared going into the show.

not sure what to expect with tomorrows check in.
