Bandit’s Contest Prep Log - 18 & 20 weeks out

Running base plan diet again today.

50mg winstrol started. Splitting 25a/25p.

Couldn’t have asked for better digestion and BMs yesterday. Can definitely notice my waist is far tighter this morning.

I was expecting my legs to look super fatigued and washed out this morning but they held up very well. In hindsight pushed a little too much volume yesterday. Remaining leg days will be 1 set of compound movements and 2 sets of single joint movements.

Forgot to update the log yesterday. Brain and body was operating at a fairly low clip to be honest. Leaning into that though, probably a good sign that i'm getting leaner.

Yesterday's weigh in - 187.8lbs.
Ran base plan diet for third day in a row. Also a 3rd training day in a row. Based on my bodies feedback, its time to be in the gym at maximum 2 days in a row, strictly. Training went really well & it was a fairly "light" session, only training arms. However by the end of the day once all the stims had worn off, the tank was running on empty. Digestion took a hit, started to feel a little backed up & was clearly holding lots of water. Luckily I have been absolutely nailing sleep. 7.5-8 (broken) but feeling very rested and fresh upon waking.

Today's weigh in - 189.2lbs.
A jump in scale weight but most likely influenced by inflammation, food in the GI and some water that still needs to be flushed out. All of that should be mostly resolved today being a rest day.

Coach wants to bring carbs up on this rest day, but we're also pulling protein down.
He's giving me macros again like he did the other day, with the instruction of being mindful of digestion. Will mostly do rice based carbs but will also implement some fruit and potatoes.

Macros for each meal as of now - 40P/100C/0 added fats.
Coach wants check in pics 90 mins post M2.

Off season goal - BIGGER arms so I can hit the MM in the last shot.
 
Planned meals for the day (tentative as my coach may adjust the meals based on my check ins after M2)

M1 - 50g whey iso (in coffee), 110g COR, 100g strawberries, 50g pineapple

M2 - 140g chicken breast, 300g rice, 18g honey, 75g veg

M3 - 140g chicken breast, 300g rice, 18g honey, 75g veg

M4 - 140g chicken breast, 300g rice, 18g honey, 75g veg

M5 - 170g cod, 225g rice, 175g potato (cooked weight), 75g veg

M6 - 140g ground sirloin, 150g rice, 175g potato (cooked weight), 28g dates, 75g veg

+20g sauerkraut added to each meal containing meat.
 
Thats so crazy. You mentioned your resting heart rate goes up a lot when on cycle I just checked mine for the first time blasting and its up like 8bpm more. I wonder why. Its like a stimulant to the central nervous system. I only sleep 6 hours too and wake up rested and ready to get after it.

My resting heart rate generally remains around the same, I think you may be mistaking for someone else. Checked vitals this morning was at 125/68 HR 63.
When I get heavier Ive seen it creep up around 70 but i'd say thats a negligible increase.

My coach said this look is a good balance between conditioning and muscularity. In other words the looks he’ll be aiming to bring to stage. I have thoughts but I’m going to keep them to myself and refuse to be analytical. I’m on auto pilot.

I'm gonna discuss potential fiber supplement options with my coach. The tricky thing about gut health as im sure you're aware, its that its SO diverse. There are so many potential root causes. Something like fiber could be the solution for one issue, but on the other hand exasperate another issue. IMO its probably not worth taking any risks at this point in the prep.

For what it's worth, minutes after I made that previous update, I had a really good BM and feel like a new man haha. For now atleast, finger crossed its a sign things are moving in the right direction.
I heard somewhere that oral BPC is super good for leaky gut idk where that would play into your issues but figured I’d add into the thread after seeing your digestion issue

I actually started oral BPC/KPV about 2 weeks ago. Digestion has improved significantly but there were also other moving parts. Can’t say for certain which variable moved the needle to what degree.

Currently doing BPC/KPV 1000mcg/500mcg on an empty stomach.

Another 8hrs of sleep last night. Quality not a good as the previous night but still feeling very fresh this morning.

Checked in with coach, wants to run same meals again today.

Check in pics again after M1 & 1L fluid.

Training legs today. Volume will be reduced after realizing I pushed my previous leg day a little too much.
