What's your blood pressure today?

Probably around 135 / 85. But I'm on blood pressure medication. Had to start taking it after it just went up maybe a year ago and I couldn't shake it off. My doc said sometimes it just comes with age, no matter what you do. I didn't want to do it, but I accept it and I'm just happy I'm safe in that regard.

@bebeav and everyone in this thread. I wanted to say thanks for this starting this thread and participating in it. I've been checking it once a week for years but for the last couple of months I have not. Wouldn't you know it, it creeped up on me - about 150/96 at highest in last week or so. Not too big of a deal if it was a one time thing but it was repeated. Gave blood today for a start at it, Hemo was only at 160 though so I've got some figuring to do.

So thanks y'all, who knows how long it would have gone unchecked if not for this thread.

Time for a complete workup my friend. Keep those kidneys of yours functioning well.

Happy that you took time to check it, thread was made so people can think about checking it each time the thread pop in the new post of the days.

Now time to make some change where needed and maybe a complete blood panel like @Bagua said.

Anything you changed over the last months that could have lead to this?

Nothing that comes to mind right away, been pretty inactive due to injuries and dropped TRT dose to 93mg/week (pretty sure that didn't do it :) )

Edit- I added Astragulus to my supplement regime too, seems an unlikely suspect at first glance but I'll do some more reading. May be dosage dependant but opposite to what we would usually expect.

I take astragalus and didn’t notice a bp difference.
Try hysbiscus tea. Started to drink 1 cup a day 2 weeks ago and went from 138 to 118.
