How long have you trained?

Thats why this board is important. Literally 1000s of years of training on here. I couldn't believe how long when I look back on it. I think I started seriously in 2000. But 1999 just sounds better. We will go with that..haha

Been at it since i was 16!!! Ira been bow 23 years and only took a 2 tear off while working in the underground mines !!! 15 years straight natty !! Been crazy consistant for a good 10years now !!!

Since 1987 fairly serious. Then in 1990 started going very seriously.
Only time off was after a major accident on one of my horses.
Another shorter time after fracturing my L5 vertebrae.
No plan on ever stopping training.
Gear since 1994 I believe, I had 7-8 years natural and never thought I would use gear.
Low dose and on and off cycling like the old days since day 1.
Sponsored for nine years and competitive a few times with good results, but my career does not allow me to be competitive any longer currently. I plan to do masters and be a freak at provincial level and Nationals level possibly next year or two due to change of career hour wise and travel wise.

Started at 212 lbs with abs, got up to 235 or so without gear, abs left the building but still in good shape. Now I stray between 285 as my bulk size, 240-250 lean.
Starting this year I won’t go above 260 anymore and stay much leaner as I have great bloodwork and all indicators in the green, except Hemo stuff I had since way prior to gear use.
I want to stay that way for longevity.
I’m in track to be doing some awesome stuff for this summer.
Last two years have been dedicated and zero lapses in any meals etc.
Good stuff fellas.

10 yrs this month. Started at 170lbs, 32 yrs old.
18 months later was 242 lbs, then leaned out a bit to 227 lbs natural. 2 yrs in was benchiNg 315 for reps, deadlifting 500lbs and squatting 450.
Then did my first cycle just over 2 yrs in
That has to be some crazy ass genetics.

Just for fun stats. I was benching three plates side natural squatting five plates side and dead’s with five plates side and a 25. Then I cycled. I am not built for dead’s as I will injure my lower back due to L5 fracture prior. I envy the heavy deadlifts like @superbeast and @3bills

My first real chest day with my brother and his buddy, i benched 225 for 15 reps. Blew them both out of the water. Weight went up every week after that. Took about 15 years to hit 500.
Now after a bunch of injuries, i stick to 365 with a 315 backoff set

Nice work brother. Some guys are just built to lift. 225 x 15 is one of those types.👍🏼

I never did attempt 500. My best ever was 405 x 9 or 10 I believe. 315 for 18 I did last week. I stick with 365 as my max since I had my arm and shoulder literally break right off. I still feel good but I have zero rotator cuff tendons anymore and it feels real weird and psychologically throws me out of the game. Respect man!!! Great lifts

Im sure I answered a question like this on here earlier so hopefully my memory is consistant. On and off in my 20's cuz I always got distracted with motorbikes and got injured: shoulder, lower back, and ankle are fucked now from various accidents. It was always hard to put weight on too as I'm very ecto so I always got discouraged and so never committed enough

After having kids in my 30's I settled down and really stuck with it. In my 40's now and holding at a steady 250lb, which I'll get down to a leaner 240-ish for summer. Just had to buy my first 2XL shirts that will need to have the lower taken in, and a 3XL jacket so I think I'm on the right track.

I cant compete with the lifts cuz my frame wasnt built to take that kind of weight. 3 plates for bench and 4 for squats are as heavy as I care to go due to my injuries, and I usually do less. I can do more for bench but Im afraid my shoulder would rip out if I push it. It took me a little time to get to 225 x 10, def not out of the gate lol!
No deads!

Don’t do deadlifts at all anymore but…..

Did 505 in a central Ontario under 19 about a week before my 19th birthday. All natural.

Then did 655 about ten years ago in a 2 bars and a snatch competition. (It’s a mixed team lifting competition) Only took dbol before so that’s like natural.

I never got my 500 either. Tried twice with my best getting half way up after a pause rep. Maybe if i followed a proper program incould have done it. Now training at home again, and dont put the effort into it. Been weeks since i even do three plates. Lol. Just not motivated anymore.
Wish i got into it 10 yrs earlier.
Now everything just hurts.

The strength isn’t there the same. It’s like there is more pressure on everything and your mind is saying, be careful buddy.

89’ is when I got my first gym membership .. was hardcore for first 10 years. Realized I missed out on too much fun in my 20’s so after that off and on . Been pretty consistent last 6 years . Did my first cycle in early 90’s. testoviron depot and Russian d-bols

Ya i hate that fucking voice of reason. After my quad tear, that voice wouldnt shut the fuck up
That is because your body doesent want you to tear another, lol.

Happened to my buddy after his pec tear. Really messed with his brain.

I am no where near as strong as you guys, so tears is not something I have had.

Shit, you already have the mass. Now is the time to refine it and get cut. Well at least for the summer.
