Workout music???

I punched that in to have a look, at a a glance about half of it is already on my WO playlist, more will be soon I think. I like your style Meatman
I hope it's obvious that I mean no disrespect but isn't it amazing how different peoples taste in music can be? I'm still pretty young at heart but never could handle stuff like this. Even more interesting is the psychologically different approaches this thread shows to how we are mentally in the gym. Thread covers everything from serene quiet which I love sometimes to girly bop shit I would only listen to in the privacy of my own lock doored bedroom to the thrashy stuff. Pretty neat.
I listen to a bit of everything except thrash metal.
But depends on what I’m doing. If I am working on the house doing something potentially frustrating, I could be listening to a mix with Katy Perry, maroon 5 and such.
When lifting it’s usually metal of some sort, like Metallica, Judas Priest and so on.
If I’m having a few beer outside in the heat enjoying the yard, or floating in the pool, then usually country music.
I listen to a country playlist called “Pretty Good At Drinkin’ Beer”
I like that one, mainly about drinking, or chasing hot girls, lol.
Man, coulda been my own words there. That happens here a lot with a few guys, a couple in particular, u know who you are, part of why I feel so at home here, Cheers Boys.
I used to mock Country music hard. Then I leaned in a little when Shania twain and Faith Hill came along, eventually I started to actually listen to their music rather than just lust after them. Which led to hearing more from men as well. I still stuck with my disparaging attitude for a while "lemme guess, ur truck broke down, ur dog ran away and ur woman fucked around on you". Then I heard some of the more clever and often funny lyrics in some of the newer stuff and realized a few of them were playing off of the genres own cliches. Now i get a big kick out of it and their are more cliches in the ones I listen to - pretty little things, cowgirl boots, shaking that ass, drinkin of anything. I listen to it a lot now, some even on my Workout lists. Young gondar0.5 would find this amusing and probably appalling.
In general I really dislike the kind of music I listen to in the gym and would only listen to it in the gym, it’s basically what I imagine would be playing when the world ends lol. Crazy screaming and growling stuff I can’t even understand half the time I just ask my brother what bands he likes cause he’s into that and then I play them, makes me feel like I’m going to destroy shit gets me so pumped but I could never just drive around listening to that lol
I listen to almost everything, from pop, rap, metal, Christian rock, EDM etc, no country though. I have a wild playlist of music I liked on YouTube music. I could get some Christian rock followed by DMX, Beethoven, some house etc. it's funny I'm listening to something heavy and next thing I know I'm pushing heavy weight listening to Pink pony club lol.
