I remember seeing him off season a few years ago, he was around 275lbs at the time, probably under 10% bf. and I thought how the fuck can he cut down for classic? He did and I thought he looked flat. CBUMs retirement has opened the door for a new classic champ but Urs wouldn't have been it. He clearly made the right choice moving to open, he won his show and qualified for the Olympia, now I doubt he makes the top 10 but he's still young and can grow a lot more. He looks aesthetic ASF for an open bodybuilder IMO I really like his look.

Yea, he fit right in there with the vets. I can imagine they are pissed. And with Keone Pearson just announcing his open debut the the Prague there's another possibility that someone misses out on the O this year

Ya, the look on Sergio's face, he was pissed.

But you know this is great for the sport, we need to see guys with a more pleasing physique. I bet more guys will start moving from Classic soon. I think Urs is right where he belongs now. The Olympia will be very interesting to see where he fits in.

Man was he ever. I'm sure drama will ensue 😂
Guys waiting till the end to qualify are likely regretting their decisions. Especially Clint beastwood, he has been at it for several shows now trying to get his qualification. If he does the Prague show , I'm not sure but it may be the last qualifying show this season, Keone Pearson is making his debut in that show as well.

Edit - the Prague show is actually after the O and is outside the 2025 qualification year.

If classic physique didn't exist the open class would look a lot different IMO. The guys like Nick Walker that have that blow you away freak factor are super impressive from a mass perspective and that's what open has been all about for years but they really don't look good to me from a more artistic standpoint, I can't wait to see what Urs looks like beside those monsters, maybe he's unimpressive, I also wonder how much different he looks next year, I think he could grow alot and he could possibly lose his aesthetic appeal.

love what I'm seeing from him and some others but you raise a very good point, how a lot of these guys look changes a lot depending on who they are standing on stage with
