He's saying I never needed to it's just for my own comfort. My hematocrit and hemoglobin is high hematocrit is like .58. Seems sketchy to me has anyone else been told not to bother giving blood?

He even knows I blast other compounds I told him I'm starting one right now while it's still high amd he had no worries over it. Maybe I should try to find a second doc to perscrib me a phlebotomy. We don't have donor clinics in my area

can't you donate blood?

me personally, i take such a low dose of testosterone now that i never have any issues with my RBC or hematocrit levels

i found taking anti estrogens oddly always raised my RBC / hematocrit levels fairly significantly, although maybe that has to do with the dehydrating effects and causing there to be less water in the blood

My doctor said she didn’t care about high hemocrit alone either. If you really want just go and donate it. I know Dave Palumbo advocates not to go frequently. It can lower your iron or cause a rebound effect pushing it up even higher, only 2-3x a year max. His words anyways.

No I can't donate I live in a somewhat isolated and secluded area. It'd be a days drive to the nearest place and then I don't know if they'd accept it I've never tried before.

I also did a lot of reading/watching about erythrocytosis after having elevated H and H last February. Everyone disagreed lol.

My Urologist stopped my testosterone right away and ordered me to donate.

I let it sit for another two months and stopped injection cold turkey, it got worse lol. It came back down after donating last month.

Maybe, time a donation when you visit a location where they have blood services centre.

Also to note my trt doc is a specialist in testosterone not just a family doctor. He knows more then most about our blood work and hormesis and so on.

He also is on trt himself, his other doctor is as well and he told me 80 % of his patients don't give blood. I wonder I'd trt clinics might move more in this direction. On jre today Redban told Joe he has to blood let for his trt and rogsn had no idea why( rogans on trt too, aparently)

FYI the increase is related to decreased SHGB and increased free test due to the ai. Higher free test equals high epo production in some

Go watch YouTube video on high hemoglobin by Dr Andrew Wing at Man Medicine. I have spoken to him a few times and a great guy.

PS my haemoglobin goes high but I only donate blood when my haematocrit gets above 53.

I’ve said this many times, people need to watch the haematocrit not there haemoglobin, unless you have other known diseases, such as haemachromatosis

I remember Dr. Todd Lee speaking on anabolic bodybuilding channel saying as long as you have your blood pressure and sleep apnea controlled, you'll be fine.

The biggest factor cited is always pre existing conditions.

I'm in the same boat. I have been on trt for around 3 years now... plus some additional compounds here and there. Primo mostly. I have never donated blood, my last reading was the highest at 49. But to be honest I have not been drinking water as much as I should, and have backed off on my cardio....... I was in an over training state.

Me too actually, I was over trained and exhausted had to take like 3 weeks off before I finally started sleeping better

I took one week off and still have backed off on my training. Doing a rehab prehab routine to address a few of my cranky parts. I have noticed that my resting heart rate has dropped and my heart rate variability has increased.

It took all my will power to not train that week. Just feels wrong....

How do you track your heart rate variability?

When I donate, its a full day as well. 3 hour drive there and 3 hour drive back. Add in luch, fueling up, sitting to donate etc.. Its a full day. Not sure if your in the same situaiton, but I'm guessing similar.

If you have health care, I literally will take the day off work and reason is "medical appointment'. And I will claim milage for it as well if I have money left in my wellness account.

When I don't have money to cover it, I run a small buisness, so I time my city trip to donate blood with when I need to pick up supplies for my buisness.

I don't know why you think they might not accept you... There's a questionaire you have to do about sexual partners recently, drug use etc.. But to be honest, if you use protection, don't have a hepititus, don't have HIV and don't do the rec drugs, just lie.. the blood gets tested anyways. Trust me, they are H A P P Y to see you walk in the door to donate. And they love guys who juice.. your blood is stuffed with all the stuff a trauma victim wants.

It's worth while to do.

Im in the not allowed to donate and not getting prescribed therapeutic phlebotomy group. I take matters into my own hands now. 18g pin on 3ml syringe with the plunger removed. Pin it just like blood donation, bevel side up, drained into measuring cup. No more than 250ml at a time to avoid issues, if you can get that much. Ive gotten good at it finally. My hemoglobin and hematocrit get up there pretty quickly. Not that im saying for anyone to do what i do, but i had to find the solution because when the blood is too thick is can be dangerous and i feel sluggish.
