I have been trying to read up before making another post but the amount of info is overwhelming. Seems even more so because of the way peptides and sarms are named with just letters and numbers. At least with AAS they have cool easy to remember names. I just need help filtering information.

Over 40 it’s getting harder to train with sore elbows, knees, and shoulders, making me feel weaker than I am. It feels like I have pain in my forearm muscles but I’m guessing that is just part of the bad elbows. So I’m looking at this BPC-157 and TB500. Any others I should be looking at?

I’ve noticed that some products are injectables and some are an oral dropper, or both. Is there a difference between the two? Injectables are out of the question right now as my job requires me to travel every 6 weeks and I also stay in a government owned camp. Injectables are possible while I’m home but if I’m taking something longer than 5 weeks it would be an issue. Using something I can travel with and not have any issues at the airport is also a requirement.

I was having trouble figuring out what the real difference between SARMS and Peptides actually are without the searches coming up too scientific. I asked ChatGPT to lay it all out simply and it came up with this..
“SARMs = synthetic hormone-like compounds that boost muscle by imitating testosterone.

Peptides = natural-like messengers that nudge your body to increase certain processes (like recovery, fat burning, or growth hormone release).”

That makes sense. Is it only peptides that are available in oral form and sarms are all injected?

Just writing all this down has kinda helped lay all my jumbled thoughts down but I’d appreciate people’s opinions.

Bpc 157 and tb500 should be injected cmose to the injury site. Bpc does have oral form but I believe it is mostly for gut health and I think it just heals whatever it finds first. So for elbow pain dont eat it inject it sub q near your elbow.

Ahh I see. Thank you. That is exactly the kind of acutely focussed information I need. So if you have a recommended dose to take weekly or whatever, you would have to split it into separate amounts based on the number of injuries or…? I’d be pinning like 5 locations. Or is it said amount into each injury? Also the thing is I don’t know if I could call them injuries, just old man wear and tear.

I go with 500mcg twice a day once in morning once at night of bpc 157 and dont go any less then at least 10 mg all together. I havent tried tb500 but personally I dont like the 5mg +5mg mix of the two. I believe tb500 is dosed differently so equal mix doesn't make sense and further more you only have 5mg of each i dont think 5mg is enough to do much. At least 10mg and 250mcg to 500mcg twice a day. So at the very least the protocol is 10 days long at 250mg twice or 5 days at 500mcg. If you have the money tb500 is probably worth while as well but look into the doses. I run it short like 5 to 10 days but you could go longer maybe 2 weeks or so if you wanted. Im no expert though ive only ever used it maybe 3 or 4 times.

The amount for each injury i dont know enough to say but I wouldn't over do the 1 mg a day mark just because of sides like gut rott and stuff. I was thinkingbof experimenting myself im workingnon a shoulder tear but have bad tendinitis in the opposite arm so im curious if shoulder shots will cause any extra relief or not.

I’m when I feel like you do, which happens every couple years, I run 50 mg of deca for 10 weeks and it seems to fix me right up.

Morning sir,

As for Sarms - I never found any did anything for healing and they are experimental. They were not put through the same testing and years of use as steroids and some peptides (peptides not as much, but some have decent papers/studies behind them). Just an opinion - Sarms in general (with the exception of MK-677) increase my liver enzymes and no benefits for healing. Any growth, disappears when you stop or that was my experience.

Do you do a lot of mobility work at the gym before you workout? I notice most men spend a few minutes swinging their arms around and then jump in and wonder why they have sore shoulders/biceps, etc. I speak with the women who spend 15-20 minutes on a mat in the warm up area to learn more. Not saying all sexes are like this but mobility exercises are essential for longevity. You will thank yourself as you age. I do a tremendous amount of shoulder mobility exercises/strengthening exercises no matter what I am training, band work, gravity resistance work before I even think of touching a weight. Might sound like a lot of time but 15 minutes straight, I can warm up my whole body with an emphasis on the muscles/joints that will get the most pounding during the work.
Peptides - I have tried many healing peptides, in different dosages, where to inject, once or twice a day, and have come up with my own ideas based on how I react. I removed placebo effects by doing one side at a time if both Achilles tendons are sore for an extended period (just an example). I also believe some of the most popular peptides work better for specific injuries/may help but don't do a lot for other injuries.
Injections of almost anything is better than oral - better biovailability, but oral is better than none.
Keep in mind these are opinions based on a lot of use of BPC157, TB500, and copper peptide. I kept notes and tried different methods/amounts and kept track of the results.
1. I believe BPC157 is great and if pure - is a very benign and safe peptide. It does more than help heal tendons/ligaments, it protects your organs and can help them heal. I find this peptide works better for the aforementioned than joint/muscular injuries. I am not saying it won't help but I find the benefits to injured tendons/ligaments significantly better. I believe an injection as close to the injury site with BPC157 works better than an abdominal injection and hoping it will go through the body systemically. It should, so do not ask me why - I only know what I experienced. One injection / two injections a day - no difference for me. I find most people, especially if you are a larger man, do not use enough. For example - I would not hesitate to inject 500mcg's to 1 mg a day for a strained Achilles tendon. Would I go higher with BPC157 - yes, if needed.
2. TB500 should help most muscular/tendon/ligament issues to some degree. I inject daily for a steady amount since I just add it to the same insulin needle with BPC157. I find TB500 more systemic than BPC157 (arguable - but this is a subjective observation). Again, people try to use it sparingly - I titrate it down as I get better. Usually 7 mg a week to start - 1 mg/1000 mcg's a day. Each week or two I reduce it down by a 1000 until I am done. If I am not feeling better, I don't believe more/more often will do anything more. This peptide does not work the same as BPC157 so suggest reading on the healing mechanism of both.
3. Copper peptide - I only take 2 mg per day injected any where with an insulin needle for months and then stop. Do I think it helps - yes, but only to a small degree but any help is great. If you play hard, chances are you are going to get sore/have minor injuries and some of these peptides can help keep you going by preventing/treating some injuries.
4. Wasn't asked about but I am going to suggest a good dosage of Cod liver oil - a good brand like Carleson's. A great anti-inflammatory and multiple health benefits (BP, anti-platelet, anti-inflammatory, etc). If you already take anti-platelet drugs, talk to your doctor. I moved from aspirin to Cod liver oil from Carleson's and I take it with my morning meal and I take it with my 5th meal.

If you have bad arthritis or bone spurs in your joints, I do not believe peptides are going to heal this, and you are more in maintenance mode with mobility work, anti-inflammatory supplements/foods (such as pineapple). Not that the peptides might not help with some having anti-inflammatory properties, but I do not expect they will dissolve a spur, or fix osteoarthritis.

Best of luck

@Goldenrod nice writeup

I can’t remember if I wrote about this on here before but about 6 years ago I had a chiropractor adjust my neck twice in less than a month. (I’d woken up one day with crazy popping from side to side) After that for an entire year I was in agony. If I turned in bed even it would wake me up with a shock. I could barely turn my head some days. I had an X-ray that showed nothing, I started getting dry needling done cos I had mad tightness which they thought might have been pulling my neck and causing the pain. Didn’t help. Then an MRI which showed I had disk degeneration in my neck. I started using NPP just because it was a compound I wanted to try, not specifically for my neck, but would you believe it, it absolutely seemed to clear my neck issue right up. Now it could have just been good timing but the pain just went away and never returned the same way. I’ve had a stiff neck anyway for over a decade but just being back to the original way was incredible. It absolutely fucked up my sex life though for months even after I stopped using it.

This is excellent information. Thank you so much for taking the time to write all this.

I use an elliptical before lifting for 5-10 minutes so that my arms get moving as well as my legs and to get my blood pumping. If I’m doing chest or shoulders I use the cable machine set at elbow level, no pin in the weights so it just has the 5 or 10lb. Elbow tight to my side and forearm at 90° so it’s inline with the cable and rotate back and forth. I do sets of pulling towards my stomach and then across my body so I’m pulling away from my stomach. Sorry I have no idea what this movement is actually called.

I will look into some other things I can do.
I will also get back on the cod liver oil. I used to take it but haven’t for a while. Thanks for the suggestions.

Yeah deca can do that, that is why extremely low dose and only 8-10 weeks.

At worse you have to use some cialis towards the end and a month afterwards.

Its still wild to me how such similar compounds can have such different effects. Deca and NPP while virtually the same on paper other than half life's were a world of difference apart for me. My joints felt amazing on deca, however it eventually made me mad depressed, almost ruined my marriage and while I could get/maintain an erection it was almost impossible to cum, often having to fake it just to end a session because I was completely exhausted. NPP didnt provide any level of joint relief like deca could, but i could run over double the dose, It helped me get leaner than ive ever been in my life and my mood was elevated in a good way like its never been before, I distinctly remember my wife commenting once "ive never seen you more happy in my life whats going on?" My libido was thru the roof and while my sessions were a bit prolonged I was always able to finish the job.

Tldr; deca-helped my joints, made me mad depressed and couldn't cum
NPP-elevated mood, got super lean, less joint relief than deca, was able to easily run more than double the dose of deca without issue, sex was great, bit longer than normal but always finished

I’m going to be starting week 3 of 500mcg tb/bpc
Have joint issues, c4-5-6 issues, and this past week I started feeling a lot better. Pain is doing from 90% to 80% I am happy with it. Definitely say try it

Bodybuilding training creates many adhesions on the muscles and remodels the muscle for very robotic movements.

Start with mobility work or yoga + massage. No other modalities should be considered before this has been done, it's that critical IMO.

I’ve actually been thinking about yoga for quite a while. I can’t even touch my toes. I’d love to do it if I just had own person to show me rather than a class.

YouTube is a great place to start. Keep it simple.

Doing it at home gives you the privacy to fail and not be embarrassed. Ask me how I know 😅
