What causes poop to get stuck halfway out?

Fibre
If bad then PEG
And drink lots of water.

I also ran an experiment with taking digestive enzymes with every meal, and it worked decently well, but you need to take pills every meal.

Anyhow I used to get constipated all the time, and fibre was the easiest thing I could do. 1 tablespoon in a glass of water before bed. Problem solved.

digestive enzymes lead to my shit coming out as a liquid after about 3 weeks hahaha. don’t have any digestive problems as is just wanted to see if it would help me eat more on a bulk by having my food break down faster.

I save digestive enzymes for specific meals.
So lets say I want to eat 1 lb of ribeye steak and don’t feel like having gas the rest of the night.
I save it for the meals that I know I will get stomach indigestion. I use it as a helper.

all jokes aside, most of us ignore bowel symptoms when in reality they are nothign to joke about and can be tell tall signs of major problems or they can lead to major problems.

I ignored some poo issues for years and it caused me problems in the long run and it would have saved me some grief if I took notice and acted on them when they first started happening.

Don't ignore consistant and/or unexplained constipation, runny poo, weird colours, undigested food in your poo etc..

I now drink more water, eat more greens and take metamucil every night.. I also take some probioitcs and digestive aids with every meal (betaine HCL). I have 3 consistent and regular movements a day and life is much better

I had assumed this article was going to be one of those cliché commentaries on the short attention span and resultant failure to complete tasks that millennials seem to struggle with.

Like AI said above this is some pretty serious and important subject matter, lots to be gained by paying attention to the activities at the back door.

One thing I would add to the what to do section is self massage. Straining when you are backed up can cause some damage. Learned abou massage when the kids were babies and then applied it to myself as an adult. If you get a proper handle on the anatomy and can identify the path the large intestine takes you can actually move the refuse along its path towards the rear exit and even right out without straining your abdominal muscles. Pretty handy especially if you already have a roids problem you are trying to heal or not make worse

In my opinion and experience, if your straining to any degree, something is wrong and it needs to be sorted out.

If I miss a day of metamucil, I strain a bit the next morning sometimes. If I miss 2 days of metamucil, I'm straining to a serious degree.

One of the best pecies of health/supplement advice I ever got was take metamucil every day.. 1 tsp is usually all you need. Doesn't matter if you think you need it or not, try it for 2 weeks and you won't want to stop.

You are 100% right, the best plan is to manage your shit so you have healthy shits. I sometimes have to remind myself if they ain't right something else ain't right and needs attention.

Jesus, I thought I saw all the topics in the boards already and here I am utterly surprised by one again lol

I thought it was a joke!! So turds stop half way out???? I can honestly say that has never happened. I’m really good at shitting. My sympathies to those who have stuck turds.

Most of you guys know this, but for the new members out there, do not strain too hard too many times, this causes diverticulosis and can eventually lead to diverticulitis (infections) and can lead to surgery to fix the issue.

I know this first hand.

Take your fiber daily, and increase your water intake if you are straining hard. A little push to get things going will not kill you, but straining hard while on gear will set you up for issues in the future.

Oh and as a note, if you do end up having to get surgery, for me it worked out just fine. But why if you don't have to.

My tipping point was when I was taking anavar and got really constipated and just pushed as hard as I could (at the time I didn't know you could damage your intestines doing this). I also believe the ability to contract harder while on gear can make things worse.
That was when I got my first colon infection, then things went downhill from there. Couple more infections later and I got surgery to remove 10"

Three times a day?
That sounds like a good question for an interview.
I'm not hiring a guy spending that much time on the shitter. 😂

Read somewhere that all mammals have similar defecation pressures and times.
Average was around 12 seconds.
If you're on the toilet longer than a minute you're milking it.

As long as I take 1 tsp of metamucil each night, my turds come out like a greased cat chasing a squirrel up a tree.. Half the time after its out, you look at the bowl and are shocked at how that turd came out so fast with zero strain, pain or pushing..
