Very accurate. I do financial planning as a profession. I see this regularly. Missed paycheck = At the start robbing X to deal with Y till X is gone then its sell this or that.Wont work. They will bring in temporary foreign workers and we will all be out of jobs. 90% of the crew im on now cant miss 1 week pay. They dont have 2 cents to rub together, its all on credit.
Debt is the tool for control for certain.Wont work. They will bring in temporary foreign workers and we will all be out of jobs. 90% of the crew im on now cant miss 1 week pay. They dont have 2 cents to rub together, its all on credit.
When I first started to make money I went hog wild. Since I relocated the shop though, I realized that I don’t need a bunch of useless crap or high end cars. I like being debt free.I have been hearing a lot of the boycott, cant wait myself personally..I just know far too many live cheque to cheque, and not many will follow, that is sad reality of it all...
Someday we may be forced to make moves, but they are making us weak now and lots cannot afford it at this point in time..Many of us can, but it will be a small dent, i have so many folks on my crews making huge dollars, 150-200 k per yr and blow it all, i cannot understand the logic, but its true.
I give a guy a promotion and often a new truck drives in with a new sled in tow, i shake my head, but congratulate them as they are beaming with pride...Ive never been that way, even when younger, but its our reality, we cannot organize, and if we do, we fall off quick due to bills and debt..
I killed that a long, long time ago, im ready, but a minority it seems..
Bang on, they control many like this, breed envy and greed and wanting and desire.Debt is the tool for control for certain.
Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need, and the things you own, end up owning you.

How do you only insure your bikes for a few months a year?Bang on, they control many like this, breed envy and greed and wanting and desire.
I can speak from both sides.
I grew up humble farmer, not rich at all good fun family that had a blast in life and with friends aplenty.
Fast forward, started making bigger money, bought the new cars, big house, big ocean boat, couple harleys, quads, trucks, campers...Then stress set in, i never had this feeling in my life before. Too many objects, sky high insurances, felt good for a couple months after each purchase. THEN became another thing.
I paid most in cash, but got a few loans. Hated it all after awhile, started getting frustrated.
Sold my boat, bought a small 16 footer for fishing.
Still have harleys, but only insure when i ride for a few months.
Buy only good used autos etc now. Trucks...lol
Sold new quads and side by side a long time ago, got a good dollar back.
Bought 2 used and older quads, 1500 miles on them, a few yrs ago now. 800 max HO can ams, love em..
Zero debt for awhile now and now i cherish the objects i still have, i use them. Not look at them.
I can retire and dont NEED to work, i want to work.
In just a short time after zero debt, dual income household and living off of one cheque. While banking all the second income & extra bonuses etc. to never touch , not one time, staying disciplined, i dont need to do what i do not want to.
Chickens, beef and wild game, i am not bill gates by any stretch, but we have great, close friends, and live in the boonies with an awesome view and can do what the fuck we want to..My own wells, my own soils, and my own food source and can get more serious if required and shit hits the fan worse than now..
We will retire humbly living away for many months in cheap locations, renting cheap living in the sun and ocean, then come back to home base when we need to with someone living in our yard in a second house very cheaply and look after the place while we are chilling..Wanted it to be this year, hopefully fall 2023..
It was a transition, but not a hard one becuse so much satisfaction comes of living humbly as compared to excessively and wasting..
Different rules in different provinces. How do you only insure your bikes for a few months a year?
Well I have lived in Alberta, BC and Ontario and in none of those provinces was I allowed to insure for only a couple of months.Different rules in different provinces.
In Manitoba, you can technically insure your bike for a couple of months, but it's not worth it. If your insurance is $1000 a year (for easy math) they would charge you $300 for June July and August then split up the $100 over the last 9 months. (that's not exact but you get the idea) Insuring over the winter is equivalent to fire and theft insurance. Insurance is so expensive I only did temp insurance last year which allows you to insure your bike for 14 days total, and it's around $15 - $20 a day. Makes no sense but for me, with kids, I just didn't have the time to take it out for more than a few weekends.Well I have lived in Alberta, BC and Ontario and in none of those provinces was I allowed to insure for only a couple of months.
Now way back in the past you could insure for 6 months.
I know here in Ontario if you insure for a couple months and pull your insurance they can refuse to insure you for a year.
I am confused, so you still insure for the year then, just pay $100 for the other months but can't ride it insured? In Manitoba, you can technically insure your bike for a couple of months, but it's not worth it. I can insure one month at a time if desired out west here. How do you only insure your bikes for a few months a year?
You can separate road permit and storage insurance. So one can buy a plate a month at a time and then have insurance linger if worries about theft fire etc and remove collision and third party parts.I am confused, so you still insure for the year then, just pay $100 for the other months but can't ride it insured?
So maybe you might save lets say $100 for the year but can only drive for the 3 months insured?
well not in Ontario,You can separate road permit and storage insurance. So one can buy a plate a month at a time and then have insurance linger if worries about theft fire etc and remove collision and third party parts.
I insure typically six months a year but storage all year.
But if busy I’ll do three months
