i have a similar, but probably more pathetic story...
My power steering on my truck was leaking for the last couple years.. Last fall it got REALLY bad.. I knew I had to change the pump, but didn't have time until my christmas break.. So I picked up a pump and took the old one out.. Then I realized the pulley from the old pump had to be taken off and put on the new pump.. You can't just take off the pulley, you need a special tool.. I cursed at myself for not realizing this and now I had a truck that couldn't be moved and my boat and ATV outside because the truck had to go in the garage..
I went inside and called the local shops for a power steering pulley puller.. like 350$ a kit!! fuck me.. I called all my friends and no one had a kit either.. I almost drove to town to hand over 350$ but then I figured I'd check amazon because sometimes you can get shit in a couple days..
I started searching amazon and found a kit for 40$ or so and had GREAT reviews.. Then I look closely at the screen and it says "You ordered this product on Oct 15th".. I thoguht WTF, no I didn't order it.. So I went through my Amazon order history and sure as shit, I ordered it..
Then I thoguht maybe I ordered it and it never showed up so I forgot about it??
I went to the garage and searched EVERYWHERE I thought I might put it.. Finally found it, brand new in the box in my boat.. And sadly, it was in the product box, not the amazon box.. so I ordered it, opened the amazon box to get to the kit in its product box, walked it out to the garafe and put it in my boat 2 months ago and still have zero recolection of any of it..
I have about 8 hammers and 15 measuring tapes. Also 6 or 7 exacto knives, lol.
If I see it on sale I used to grab one, because you can never find these items if you need it. I have been controlling myself lately. My new addiction is lights, you know when the power goes out, type. I have like a dozen, the fancy designs always get me.

I am proud of the folks doing the protest, am more embarrassed at the chicken shit government voted in. Not embarrassed to be me, just to be in a country with so many idiots that actually did vote.
I went to the one here. Wasn’t a huge turnout when I went (6:30) but the weather is horrible and my city is really liberal. But when I went earlier there were like 2000 people spread out everywhere. It was a fucking great feeling being around likeminded people, to realize that you are not the only one. Everyone saying hi to each other, with smiles and no masks (well a cpuple people had masks and hey do what they want). The trucks were just starting to roll in, so mabye only 100 when I was there. I didn’t dress right so I stuck it out for 30 in and left.
I know it sounds corny, but I felt hope, which I havn’t felt in a long time. Even if nothing happens, I can live off that bit of hope for a while, lol. It was a great feeling, ever since this whole thing started I have felt better.
I also supplied for free a bunch of meat to a few people who were cooking for the truck drivers. Gotta do my part.

I cringed when I opened my facebook tongiht to read my ontario friends and relatives postings..
Many are against the truck convoy.... many said they are willing to take as many needles as needed to stop the spread and return to normal... They think the master key to returning to normal is keep getting jabbed as many times as needed.. They viee the truckers are angry, uneducated hill billies..
I've truly never felt so discusted with these peoples ignorant views on the whole situation.. Yet at the same time, I feel sorry for them. Many of these people continue to turn a blind eye to allt he information out there and choose to only read the informaiton which makes them feel better about their choices/stance and what makes them feel safe...
I've got tons of family and dear friends in Ont, NS, but I'm completely ok to draw a line somewhere between manitoba and ontario and call it 2 countries.. I really can not ever see this country agreeing on things anymore.. I can not see anything but going back and forth beteen conservative federal govenrments and the east hating every minute.. then a liberal government and the west hating every minute.. I can not see this country ever being "one" again and content. I really think its over for us as nation in term of every having a government/leader that works for the majority.

When I moved out of my larger house to a townhouse I started going through all the tools I had in my basement. I think I had about 8 caulking guns and 6 were brand new. Also have about 10 tape measures all over the house. You never know when an emergency measurement might be required.

how would these ones even attempt to do so when it’s indisputable that they do not prevent either, even at a moderate rate? When the population is sitting allegedly at over 80% vax rates?
so if it doesn’t largely prevent transmission or infection…. How could it ever eradicate this disease? And to stretch it out somewhat…. How would you not be concerned with leaky vaccines potentially driving the evolution of potentially more virulent strains? I’m no epidemiologist whatsoever…. But forcing this virus into constant adaptation and subsequent mutation can’t be a super good idea. At least from the cheap seats.

Shit I knew this a few moths ago. Dr. John Campbell stated that the vaccine did not achieve herd immunity. He had the papers to prove it. He was so sad. That was when hew started to look for other alternatives and the sides of the vaccine. Then people who are so stuck in their own bias on this started to not like him, or attack him.
Shit everyone knows the vaccine will pretty much do nothing for omicron, but hey lets force vaccination that has KNOWN adverse reactions on everyone because our leader thinks hes a king who can do what he wants.
Fuck man, I was at the rally. He is in a world of shit. They will lock down Ottawa until they get what they want. It was the best feeling to know there are lots of people who want the same thing. We were all smiling, laughing, people with Fuck Trudeau signs everywhere. I went home after and had a wicked workout all pumped up.

I agree. This country really should split, the old money old Canadians (Laurentiens) look at the west as peasants that are here to provide them wealth. It’s been like this since the early days of the country. The west and east are too divided it’s time to seperate.
