OK - maybe not but there is some validity to that statement. Facts are facts.
I was not on PED's for years (over a decade) - didn't drink much or use drugs (including tylenol) and my liver went from mild to mild/moderate in the fatty liver score according to the gastroenterologist. My GGT was raised for years (5 or more) and my ALT and AST was high for months (can't remember exactly how long but it was 6 months or more) but the latter came down with time. I was diagnosed with mono and it attacked my liver. That is what started the damage and it never fully recovered.
For anyone who knows about fatty liver - it can benign and it can progress to cirrhosis and kill you. Mine was not moving in the right direction.
Most people here know I look after my health and take supplements. I write a lot about liver protection because I know what it is like to have an unhappy liver and I take liver protecting supplements because I am determined to heal that fucker. One of the few organs that can heal itself.
There is more to add to this but facts are facts:
I started test enanthate a few years ago on a TRT dose. Started adding in Primo at 100-300 mg per week (usually 150 mg) for an extended period and using BPC157 with a supplement regiment for my liver with regular (monthly) blood tests. Every time I tried a new compound I checked my enzymes, every time I added in a new supplement or substituted one I checked my liver enzymes (GGT, ALT, AST, Bilirubin, Total Protein, Albumin, and Globulin). I payed for a lot myself and was still getting doctor ordered tests every 6 months (the doctor's / gastroenterologist's requisition was more detailed and included more tests. If anyone cares - I can list them as I have a copy for my next blood draw. I have yearly ultrasounds on my abdomen to check the progression.
Anyway - the first positive was no negative impact on by CBC, liver, kidney, BP, etc. Second positive - after taking test/primo/script GH/BPC157 on a regular basis (with deca mixed in for 2 months max to help heal injuries) - for the first time in a very long time my GGT was back in normal range and the longer I continued with this regimen it was dropping.
I had my yearly ultrasound and the radiologist never mentioned any fatty infiltration. Possibly, they didn't comment because it didn't progress? No one was able to answer that question for me. I just had my yearly ultrasound completed and I made a point to request an update on the fatty liver - results were all clean and no fatty infiltration. Just had another extensive blood test and everything was great.
My goals are not the same as many here, I take PED's in moderation maxing out at 250 mg a week of combined compounds, health is a priority to me as you don't know shit about life until your health is taken from you and I'm not trying to be dramatic. If you live long enough - you will go through it with a loved one, yourself, or a friend.
I have figured out which supplements work best for me - they aren't the popular ones many take for protection with orals but again I'm using real data (blood tests and ultrasounds). Happy to list my regimen but I don't want to make this a dissertation and put people to sleep.
To say I have been pleasantly surprised with the results would be an understatement. Before this becomes a wall of words, I will shut it down but thought I would post this as I know some guys here and other forums who have fatty liver and I can guarantee there are a lot of people walking around with it and have no idea and never will until they need an abdominal ultrasound / MRI / CT scan.
