Ronnie Coleman may never walk again.

They mentioned that in the Netflix documentary. The Doctor said some never walk again after the surgery due to a mental block. Ronnie is a pretty persistent guy, so my guess is he will be ok. He will be wheel chair ridden for at least 3 months I believe.

I saw that in the Doc as well but this is post documentary. Supposedly permanent.

Christ I don’t know, there’s got to be a point where you have to say to yourself was it really worth it? He’s still a young man with many years ahead of him that is going to be pure hell.

Well pain or not walk. Still better than dead.
I bet he’d trade the constant pain for a chair.

I’m sorry but he can’t just blame the surgeons. He kept training against their advice.

Very true. The Doc who did my first knee surgery back in the day said I would never be able to kick again after he repaired my knee. He told me no squats. leg extensions or deadlifts. Just rehab stuff. I went against his advice and got back into full contact stuff six months later. I now have two bionic knees. I had to keep going and got another twenty years out of that knee. Not the docs fault, but I do think he was a bit off. Maybe Ronnie just had to?

I think sometimes they can gauge what type of person we are and then adjust the advice accordingly. So for you he figured you would go back into it, but by stating that you should not do this of that, when you pushed farther, you didn’t go too far.

They meet people every day, after a while you can pretty much profile someone and it’s fairly accurate.

Anyhow just my opinion.

I think you have a point. This Doc was a surgeon for the NHL, knew his stuff and was arrogant as could be. He did predict how long I would get out of my knee quite well. He said he would be replacing it in twenty years. He didn't do it, but it was twenty years!

I just watched the documentary on Netflix last night..... sad to see what he is at 54...... 30mg oxy every 3-4 hrs just to get by.... for a case full of trophys and hand crutches....
lol, what really made me chuckle is how many kids he has in total..... not just the newest ones ....

I don’t think that’s what he’s saying exactly. If you see anything he’s put out, the last thing he is doing is not taking responsibility for what he’s done to put himself in this situation. He completely acknowledges it.

We will never truly know the extent of either party’s responsibility. It’s entirely possible it was one or the other or most likely both.

Regardless......My point was more about him experiencing all this adversity, spending all that money and still remain so positive and so driven.... it’s incredible and extremely rare.

Almost as prolific a breeder as an east coaster boom....lol

I watched a vid yesterday where he blamed one of his surgeons, saying the surgeon was trying to make money. Couldn’t really take that he was blaming him any other way. It was a muscular development vid on you tube.

At the end what got me was he said due to all the scar tissue in his back, they were going to go in form the front and remove his intestines to do the surgery...
He owns it though, no excuses from him .... he knows it was his doing ending up this way, nothing to do now but man-up and soldier on....

Bet you we see him die of opiod-related causes

That would suck, but is very possible.
