This is what gets me as well. I'm tired of the mismanagement. The problem with Trudeau is that he was so interested in identity politics that he put certain people in key positions to literally didn't have the portfolio to warrant them. Put people in positions that can capably perform the task at hand.I’m not sure where in this thread I said he was staging a socialist coup.
I am correct that he is redistributing wealth.
Truthfully I don’t think socialism is on his mind, more of a dictatorship maybe.
He loves the effiency of a dictatorship, talked about it numerous times.
Mind you we are pretty much there already, and have been with all parties. This is not new.
I’ll tell you why I’m not impressed with Trudeau. Because he lies too much. I know they all lie, but his whole thing was he was going to be more transparent, better than previous politicians.
How many of his first promises has he kept? How many like election reform has he not done? Remember he wasn’t going to be Harper, never prorogue parliament, and so on.
He’s exactly the same.
And I do not mind paying taxes. Most businesses like mine hide their profits under their matress, I pay my taxes.
But watching my taxes increase exponentially, while I’m not seeing services increase for all Canadians (other than CERB, which I have no issues with, it’s kept the economy propped up for now, all parties would have had to do something, I could argue it could have been rolled out better, but hindsight is 20/20), but the million and billions handed out of our country while we still have millions that could have used it. And at least some of the money I paid in tax would have made it back to me in sales in my store, but when billions are funneled out, it is gone. It wasn’t even given out as tied aid. And now COVID has come and they are printing money, because nothing was kept back just in case.
So no, socialism is the last thing I’m worried about. We are already socialist, and will slowly become more than way with every party, that isn’t my concern.
Many poor decisions on his watch.
It's hard for me to really complain about covid when I see the exact same problems happening literally everywhere all over the world. What are you are witnessing ladies and gentlemen is the entire governmental apparatus of the world figuratively throwing their hands up into the air and saying, "we have no fucking clue what's going on"! It's not just here.. It's everywhere. I'll cut them some slack as they think they're doing what will work. Compared to the U.S., our CERB benefit response was flawed but decent in comparison. I'm petrified about what is going to happen to small business owners.
It's going to get worse with Biden at he helm. Trump I think kept them at bay. But already a few players are saber rattling.
Trump was right about China...
