TRT Doses

I've had doses prescribed all over anywhere from 100-400mg weekly by my doctors. My feel best is between 200-250. Add in a few units of GH and it's the perfect year round maintenance without skewing health parameters and can easily grow or cut with just diet and cardio alone.

Current dose is 225mg and 2.4iu GH prescribed though I mess with those numbers on occasion. Technically one would say this is on the over dosed end of the spectrum. But thoughts aligns with my endocrinologists when you're treating symptoms and not numbers it's subjective to the individuals needs and trt doses will vary.

A Canadian doctor prescribed you 400mg?

Yes from my Canadian endo though they were honoring my prescription from the states prior. Eventually though we had to scale down to 225mg due to a complaint lodged from an ER hospital when I was admitted for pneumonia. The complaint was based on the 400mg being irresponsible and excessive dosing putting me at risk for harm. Apparently maximum dose in Canada is about 200-225 ishh without the system getting to fussy so that's where I sit. And yes I still have a USA prescription too but different countries different laws in place as you know

I got a buddy who is prescribed 400 mg a week. Has been for as long as I can remember. He hasn't got in trouble for it yet.

Mind you this guy is really muscular, like my height but 240+ now that he has leaned out.

Wow, that’s interesting. Didn’t think any Canadian doctor would put you that high

What is your current dose and how long have you been doing it. Im off cycle currently, and decided to stay on a low dose. I have had 125 mg prescribed in the past, which I felt ok. But this time around im doing 200 mg and feel great, I feel like this could be the sweet spot. Im going to see where test levels are in a few weeks (Using Dracorex) as I just switched to Drac.
Prescription is for 140 mg a week but 200 mg is my sweet spot and at that dose I get zero side effects like acne, water retention, mood swings and shrinkage.

Tried 350 mg and felt great for the first 6-7 weeks but was retaining a lot of water and temper was not at my best past the two month point. BP was running higher than usual too, so dropped back to 200

How often do you have to donate blood?

200 is a cruise not TRT for the vast majority of people. You should definitely feel great however there is a penalty for being so high over range. Ok is where I want to be because I just want to feel regular. Seeing a pile more buddies from back in the early 90's getting health issues now but they were chronic users.

Out of curiosity for the guys with legit 400mg/wk script for TRT, is your test actually "in range" on this dose?

Likely not so what's the reasoning an endo could have to perscribe this? How is your hematocrit etc?

I have no desire to run this myself, I just didn't know anyone could get a script for what seems like a life long blast

I'm fortunate I never have to donate even in the higher test ranges. My hemoglobin RBC and hematocrit are always in range for the most part unless adding in secondary compounds. I don't tend to add much anymore unless it's short acting and so donating hasn't been needed.

@Shrek to answer your question when I was actually taking 400mg per week my test levels were quite high and that's why the hospital reported me. Otherwise I likely would have stayed under the radar. But even at 225mg per week I sit around 35 nmol depending on injection frequency which is my year round feel good dose anyways. I don't require Ai just stay lean and use DIM if needed. Technically it's high yes, but when you find a good doctor it's all about symptoms she rarely checks on me. I've had to walk away from many trt doctors in the past due to not seeing eye to eye, it took 10 years to find the one I have now and I'll stick with her till she retires lol.

Been oscillating between 175-200/week self prescribed for the last 9 years. UGL, so far, so good, no AI needed and no estrogen issues but for the first time, my hematocrit has climbed to 54.6 from 51 and my suspicion is the proviron I,ve been on at 25 mgs/day for the last three months to see if my libido improved. I'm 59 and blood work has been relatively great except for this time. Been a regular blood donor, except for this year which has only been twice so far due to low Iron levels, but now I see I'm in need of donating for obvious reasons. Been happy with the results so far and will continue on or perhaps lower it to 150/week to see If it does anything but I'm pretty sure once I drop the Proviron, things will level.
Will report back, Great thread!
