I currently have Timberland Pros, theyre alright but the steel cap is crushing the shit out of my big toe, mostly on the right foot.
Anyone know of wider boots? 70% of guys here say redwings but if they dont appear to have a wider toe box than mine? Could really use some help here, been trying to compensate by rolling off the pinky toe more and its starting to hurt my knee now too. 😫

My last pair were redwings and I should not have bought them way too narrow in the toe, I'm on day two of wearing my new Keen boots. Much wider toes and I just got custom orthotics for the first time, so far so good. San Jose is the type I think $240ish nice and light as well.

You sure you need a wider boot? You might just need a half size up. I have Timberland pros and redwings right now and I think the Tims are wider. I think both are offered in wide options too but I got a skinny foot so usually boots are too wide on me.

You pay for them but they’re the most comfortable thing I’ve ever worn and have the best heel and ankle support of any boot I’ve ever tried. Mine are extra wide and don’t squish my toes at all. I’ve had mine for 6-7 years now and the zipper is still holding strong.
I first learned about them working on the fire department but I work oilfield and have a pair I wear out here all year around. They are awesome

These are from my size 12s. They dont come in 12.5s, toe is right up against the side there, feel it waaay more in my right foot. Ive got an apt for custom orthotics on my week off - about 5 days from now.

Now that I see your insoles, I think my assessment was wrong. I imagined the tips of the toes rubbing not the bunions. I was under the impression that bunion sizes indicated width of the boot, so maybe go get sized with one of those metal shoe sizers to get proper fitment. I think the red wing store I shop at did that for me before I bought my boots.

Those are classic boots. I might have traded my Docs for them when my feet were regularly stomped.

I've got Irish Setters owned by Red wing and they are great but it really depends on how much you use them and type of work, when I was in the upgrader crawling around bar grading 6-8 months out of a pair no way I would pay 300-400 a pair.

Just moved into a fab shop for the time being. Other than that, light/ heavy equpiment operator.
I was in primary upgrading plant for a few years, bottoms of my boots always went to shit quick. Thats why I couldn't justify the redwings cost.

I’m on my second pair of these and already bought a third pair.

I am a redwing fan, narrow feet (normal feet?) and I size down 1/2 sizing. Hurt my feet for about 2 weeks as the leather breaks in, but they fit like a glove once they soften. I run a winter and summer boot, they’ll last me 2-3 years by alternating seasonally. Available in wide and very wide.

Keen I liked but they did not last, blew them out after 3 months. Toe box fell apart on my left foot and fabric stretched on the right, and couldn’t tighten the boot anymore. Most comfortable boot next to redwing.

Timberland also did not last, sole detached from boot, eyelets pulled out/broke, lace hooks bent and broke off. Tried a second pair and the toe rubbed off exposing the safety cap; about 2 months in.

Those Haix look interesting, anyone else have experience with them?
