Prolotherapy anyone try?

Naproxen 500-1,000mg 2-3x a day. Helped a little

I read this as "Satan 500-1,000mg 2-3x a day. Helped a little"

That stuff can be nasty on your health. Obviously none of these type of drugs are good for you but I think this would be my last choice, I don't know your situation though sometimes there is not much choice.

Yeh that stuff kills my stomach, no choice indeed

Is there anything that can be done about week hands, not so much week but they go numb often or if i am holding a wrench above my head they go numb and cramp up? Anything a chiropractor could help with ?

Bro you should really check that out to rule out nerve damage

I do nothing but Ibrufen 600 at 3 times a day if it's bad enough. Otherwise, I take the pain. It eases off somedays. The shoulder is doing pretty well, apparently from what the surgeon saw from the MRIs and xrays. Arthritis is setting in of course, as it's bouncing around alot, but the muscle is keeping it in place. (there's actually a third tendon in there that is partially severed ) The bicep can apparently let go. That's a new kind of pain I've been experiencing into the shoulder. Just got some new MRIs done a month ago to see where I'm at. Having a virtual appointment with the surgeon this Tuesday morning to see how long I might be able to keep this up. What I'm understanding at this point, is the shoulder will have to be completely replaced someday, but I don't feel I'm there yet. Just getting ready in case something should happen. I don't want the locals here touching it, so I got a referral to an amazing surgeon up in London. I'm hoping to keep doing this for several more years so we'll see. Crossing my fingers anyway.

Editing to say it is: Ibuprofen 600 mg x 3 times a day. (But I'm sure you figured that out) 4 will make your guts burn if they're like mine
Good news today!! Virtual meet with the surgeon. I can go with these severed tendons for a real long time. I was super worried I’d trash everything. He’ll reattach the bicep and tricep, if it comes to that. Pain’s not wicked so why get anything replaced. Elated!! The body is an amazing thing! Love it!!

do you mind if i ask: how in the world did you end up with such a serious injury?!? And, i red your update, but can't they just suture the pieces to attach them and let it heal that way?!?

Don’t mind your asking at all 🙂 Kind of a long story. How it happened was super stupId and simple. I had just started my workout and went to grab the Olympic bar which was leaning upright on the wall. I grabbed at it the same way I did any other time, with the one arm and straight up and usually walked away with it like that until I got to where I needed it. But to my surprise it didn’t budge. So thinking wth, I gave it another big tug straight up and that’s when I felt everything let go. It hadn’t budged then either. 😆 Weirdest feeling. I remember saying Noooo out loud, then tried to do something else. Hurt too damn much, so I went back in the house devastated. I went to emerge a couple of weeks later and they said there was nothing wrong with my shoulder because I was able to put my bra on and do a couple finger on the wall walking exercises 😄. Went back another time about two months later. They still said nothing wrong. I carried on for months until finally I asked them to please get me an MRI because I knew something was wrong. Doc still said no, go see physio for a while before she’d order testing. So I did physio a couple times with an awesome guy and he recognized something was up with the tendons. I could barely do 5 pounds for side laterals with the right shoulder. He wrote the GP a letter recommending MRI. That took forever to get done. Then about 8 months in, I saw a specialist who said it was a big surgery that he didn’t do often. So I saw another specialist a couple months later and he said the tendons were too retracted and that there was nothing left to pull over and tie down. And this last specialist, last Tuesday confirmed the same. A person can go through a lifetime on just one tendon. Hurts more at times then others but I can live with it. Told you it was a long story 😆
