Read a recent post from Save Ontario Dogs (Facebook group) that Doug Ford has sent a directive to all Ontario municipalities that they can no longer detain or hold dogs based on appearance that they may be a banned breed. He has ordered the release of all such dogs.

This information still needs to be verified but based on what just happened in Vaughan I am getting my hopes up!

I saw the story about the dog in Vaughn. I even sent Tommy an email giving my support that things would work out. With volunteering with the local humane society, I have had the pleasure of meeting and walking probably a dozen pitbulls who were the nicest, most loving dogs I've ever met. I hope the law changes because its really an unfair law. Remember it was Dalton "Dickhead" McGuinty brought the law into effect in a knee jerk reaction to pitbulls.
