Hcg Dosing

Hey guys, so I’ve started TRT and am also taking HCG along with it, the dr that prescribed it has me on 500Iu’s 2x weekly, which from a lot of what I’ve read seems quite high, as my understanding is that it builds up estrogen in the testicles which is unable to be reached by an AI aswell as the possibility of leudig being desensitized (not the most scientific wording I apologize) but I’m just wondering a lot of forums discussions say 150iu 3x a week or 100 iu’s ED seem to be more optimal, as it’s better to dose lower and more frequently, I guess my question is, should I just trust this dr knows what she’s talking about or should I take less HCG more frequently? Thanks for any advice!

I have zero impact from HCG and my estrogen. It does not increase it in blood results and I don't have estrogen symptoms. It is script and I take 500 mg twice a week with my Test E shot. Never had an issue, but many indicate it increases your estrogen and I am sure for those - it does.
HCG, it often used for aesthetic purposes to keep your testicles if you care about them. TRT shrunk mine to peas until we added HCG.
It is reputed to also help maintain recovery for fertility which is controversial as many people preach the opposite. Don't use it, come off all PED's, use HCG. HMG, Clomid, etc. for fertility and hope to recover.
I have used 250 mg 3 times a week and 500 mg three times a week as well - never noticed a difference in my testicle size. I am not taking it for fertility. I like my testicles lol.

I've heard of similar doses being used in a " kick start " fashion but it usually tappered down.
Did you ask your Dr his reasoning? That's where you should have started.
Are you young and looking to start a family as well?

Okay interesting, and you find no issue with taking it same day as test shot? I’ve had a couple replies on other forums (trying to get a broad range of opinions) saying that you should make sure the hcg and test shots are on separate days

I am going make an appointment to see them pretty soon here, but it was an online clinic and consultation, which was more about her screening me to see if I was eligible, I didn’t actually know what dose she was starting me on of either until I picked it up from pharmacy and that’s what they told me to take, and yes I am young and looking to start a family in a couple years but not within the near future, which is the main reason for the hcg just to “keep the horse in the stable” I believe the saying is lol, not so much for nuts size although that is an added bonus I will not complain about

Part of it definitely depends on if you are concerned about fertility or not. My days of wanting more kids are behind me so its purely about maintaining my nuts.

Why take a drug if you are not looking to capitalize on its a affects? I personally wouldn't be taking anything to maintain my nuts if I was on trt and I was done having kids. I would just let them shrivel up. Was it Rich Piana who said nuts are overrated?

Yah id like to keep my nuts at least close to normal. To each their own. Feel free to let yours shrivel👍

Is the HCG covered by healthcare or your plan? I wouldn't say no to it honestly. I probably would run it as prescribed too if it's by a proper doctor.

Did you ask these people why? If someone told me what you just said, my first question would be why. If there is a scientific reason not to - someone please chime in. If I found taking it on the same day as my test shot - I wouldn't take it on my same day.
Seriously, please explain why it shouldn't be on the same day.
While I do not put complete believe in Google AI or any of the AI programs/sites - this is the response if you do:
"
Yes,
it is entirely acceptable to inject Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) on the same day as your Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) injection. In fact, pairing them is a common clinical strategy used to maintain testicular volume, natural testosterone production, and fertility while on TRT"

Id love to know the rationale as well as I always take HCG same day as my cypionate. I havent found any research that would support doing it differently. However Im wondering if this docs concerns may be about avoiding hormone peaks? If on a low to moderate TRT dose would adding hcg same day elevate testosterone above the range the doc wants to maintain🤷.

"it builds up estrogen in the testicles which is unable to be reached by an AI...leudig being desensitized" erm, sort of. Good enough way of thinking about it for a general discussion like this though I suppose.

I'll offer an opinion on the hcg, one could argue the minutiae but in a practical world it's just not worth it. The vast majority of the hormonal reactions to injecting Test (E or C) and HCG, the peaks and half lives and effective working time of T and E all fit into a tidy little window of between around 18 and 72 hrs and very importantly are different in everyone.
To really nail it down would take a fuckton of effort and labwork and even then would only apply with any precision to the specific events studied. Inject an hour later than studied? Cuddle a newborn? Expected results are now skewed a bit.
IMO anyone pushing the different days are doing that with the narrow view of one time pharmacokinetics. IOW if you were to take only one shot of T and one shot of HCG it might make sense. But of course we are never gonna do that and even if we did individual results would still vary.

TLDR -Simple fix. If injection frequency of both T and HCG is high enough the overlapping times make this not worth a second of your energy. Dosing split 3x a week or EOD would cover it for sure. 2x or E3.5D ? A bit sub optimal.
