Glass ampoules, what needle am I looking for?

I’m debating getting some amps from pg but haven’t used them before. What needle am I looking for?

Once the top is remove and be careful you do not chip the amps and end up with little pieces of glass in the oil. Any needle will work - just put in the oil and pull back. Obviously larger needles make drawing easier and then change the tip for injection. Or save a tip if frugal and be patient as the oil will enter a smaller needle as well.
The few amps I used years ago, I never changed the needles I use.

I was under the impression that I needed some sort of filtered needle
You can get filters if you want, they can be quite costly.
Tbh, I am not sure the amps are worth the trouble. I have 3 packs I have yet to get into.
There are tools you can get to open them as well. Just makes it easier. Canadian med supplies has all you're looking for , as well as other online pharmacy supply sites I'm sure.

Global pharma amps are very thin and cause shards when snapping open. The aspen ones are thick with the proper pre ethcing for opening under the dot but an amp opener still makes it a lot easier to open. The aspen amps hardly cause shards in my experience. I just use a 25g needle drawing and look before drawing also not drawing from the bottom corner to avoid any possibilities. If it got into a 25g pin i feel like it would clog and i would notice. Havent had any issues.

To be safest a filtered needle is the best solution. Or just buy vials instead.

filter tip blunt needless, incase of any shards you don’t want to inject, and you won’t stab your finger. this is what we use in healthcare for drawing from ampoules. i believe they’re 20G

top of a bic pen works great :)
My favorite!! That pop was sound of greatness coming. Anything 1.5" will get the job done but I just grab some 18ga and switch out to my fav 1in 25ga, rotate the amp and needle's bevel to get every delicious drop out. Since no penetration into a rubber stopper no need to switch out needles if you don't want to. Shards are a rarity with respect to number of trials I've done however it's always pharma typically Bayer related.
