I have to ask, they state those who were treated were at higher risk of cardio issues.
So did they use average population people, or ones who were already determined to be at risk?
Or did they just assume people with higher than 120 to be at higher risk?

Perfect. They did it with normal people. Man I better get my bp below 120 then. I’m still under 130, but if under. 120 is that big of a difference it’s worth working on.

I'm so confused with BP these days. I want a target of 120/80, which is where I was for years. Now I'm having a battle bringing it down to 140/80 despite doing the same stuff. Is it my age, as my Doc suggests or the weight I now carry? I never go below 265 but may after or during this summer.

Are you not being medicated? Obviously extra weight will give you higher numbers. Especially if you were leaner you weighed 220.
I wonder if I asked on the boards if the guys who are more muscular have higher blood pressure on and off gear (or trt).
I know as I get more muscular my blood pressure rises, but I am also getting older and changes in arteries and such may also be playing a role.
I wonder if the stiffening of arteries, mixed with extra bodyfat and changing function of the heart as we age isn’t causing this. The key is how do we fix those things. Cialis would help with artery stiffening, losing weight (maybe 1/2-1iu of gh a day) the last one would be to reduce the weight one lifts as they get older to take strain off the heart and maybe some of the enlargement from lifting reduces?

I’m just throwing things out there, but makes sense

I'm on meds for BP, and the BP issue has only been the last six months or so after I had my weight up to 270+. That is pretty heavy for me, and it most certainly contributes, as does age. I have never liked the age aspect of BP readings and feel we should be able to maintain a healthy BP average as we age, especially if we maintain cardio and a fairly good diet. I suppose I will find out because I'm not getting any younger, but I can get smaller.

Well shouldn’t they be Able to adjust your blood pressure to where they want with drugs?

We get to play with meds. Adjust dosing and the medication itself and weigh the benefits to the risks. I'm on my third BP med now and my second diuretic. I'm still dealing with the added stress I had in Jan and Feb. I am certain I have sleep apnea and plan on getting it looked at, which will help.

Dealing with my sleep apnea addressed a ton of issues for me.
