That is weird...lol
I was just thinking about making a post on the difference between a "Boss" and a "Leader" in the workplace.
A boss is a delegated position. Someone above you decides to give you a promotion, you are now the boss. A boss is not necessarily a leader, in fact many times a boss is not a leader.
In the workplace a janitor, an admin person, a supervisor, a person in general labor etc. etc can be a leader. A leader does not have to be in a position of authority.
A leader is the person in the room and when they speak people are listening and paying attention. A leader is someone that you see others start to become like.
When others are speaking, people are looking at the leader to see their reactions and if they are appearing to agree with or not agree with what that speaker is saying.
A leader will listen and provide insight, or just listen and say nothing.
A leader is not always leading in the positive though. You can have a leader that is not looking out for the best of all people.
It can be good or bad.
I said one day in a meeting with a group that they are all potential leaders, some thought they all were able to get into a position of authority in the chain of command.
That is not the case, you can be a leader with no chain of command at all.
A leader is someone people turn to in tough times and good times, just hope and pray that person that got into the leader realm have the best intentions.
Anyway I could go on and on, at the end of the day, because you are a boss in a position, it definitely does not make you a leader.
