sleep apnea

hang it over your bed frame or put up a hook so it hangs down above you instead of having you snuggle it hahaha. the hose cover makes a difference when i do run water in my machine. i also have the air sense 10.
I find that too limiting as I use a P10 and I do not tighten the strap at all so I like the excess of the hose running from below & up vertically to my face, this allows me to sleep on either side, back, or front with less pulling on the mask.
I did try the P30 with the connection on the top of the head and I did try the hose overhead with that particular mask....this worked well like you say but I did not like the extra straps and how the mask hugged my temples so I won't use the P30 for that reason alone.
The P10 feels like you're naked compared to the P30. I like that much better as it is the least bothersome to me and I have had the most success wearing it because of that.

You can adjust in increments of 0.2 as I am sure you probably know that....I would make more subtle adjustments off the start.
Do you have the humidity on auto? Even in 8.5hrs of use for me, my tank is not dry overnight, it is pretty low but never dry.
I also use the Air Sense 10, I could help you with settings if you would like, send me a message anytime.
Humidy isn't on auto.. I'll try that tonight.

I went from 8 to 9 no problem.. So I thought I'd try 10.. We'll see how I feel tonight.. I look forward to sleep so much now to continue dial this thing in and feel better.. I have deffinitely woken up with more energy the last few nights being able to keep it on for 6 hours.

THe place I bought it from seems to be run by a guy nammed Jeremy... When you go on the website, he's there on a chat to help you or answer questions.. Really nice to have the support from the seller

Great news!
I've dealt with Jeremy too and I have nothing but good things to say about him and the dealings I have had with him as well!

I wish I could use the p10, but the nasal thing hurts my nostrils

I experienced that too but I put a little vaseline on the inner part of the nasal pillow and around the outer part as well for like 3 or 4 nights and that softened up the silicone just a bit to where it didn't hurt my nostrils anymore. The vaseline does not appear to have damaged the cushions at all as I have still been wearing it for the last few months.

Tried the auto humidity last night.. Doesn't work for me.. I'm not sure how it senses how much moistiure to put out, but it doesn't work for me. We have a wood stove in the centre of the house which dries it out a lot and we are -15 right now.. so it's dry.. The auto setting isn't goign to work for me..

I'm not sure if its worth mentioning, but I woke up at 3 am, took a piss and burped for a few minutes.. the burping you get from drinking pop too fast.. When I went back to bed, I lay there wondering if it could force air into the stomach ??

Mask isn't fitting.. I need to trim beard again, but hopefully nasal mask will be here doon. I think because its leaking, the machine thinks I'm breathing in, when I'm not, which might force air down my eshopagus?

the machine is designed to push air when it thinks you’re apneic, so yes it will push air into your stomach sometimes when you’re swallowing etc. it shouldn’t be a painful thing tho, only enough for those burps as you said

Great idea, I’ll try it, because that mask would be much more comfortable. Then I could lay on my side again.

Stuck your finger inbetween the pillows once its on too and try to manipulate the pillows to be the most comfortable....it will leak and hiss but seal back up right away. I also found it more comfortable having it as loose as possible. Like I said earlier, I have the strap as it came, not tightened at all.

I went and bought some vasoline, pulled out the mask and lubed it up, gave it a test fit and set the pressure for tonight.

I’ll give it a real try for a couple days instead of giving up half way thru the night like I did before.

I trimmed beard back last night, set humidty manually to 6, pressure to 9... And slept for 6.3 hours with it on. Machine report said I had a good mask fit all night with 0 events for the 6.3 hours. no burping.. Easily best night with the machine yet.

It's all about the mask fit I think.

3 days now, had to reduce the pressure a bit, but I think I like it better than my other mask. Way less intrusive.

Thanks for the tips

Great news, you're very welcome!
I was hoping.that would make it better for you! It helped me so I am glad to hear it worked for you as well! I hope others may try it as well if they're experiencing the same issues.
It is the most popular ResMed mask ever sold as far as what I have seen on the net.

I really like the masks that connected to the top of your head, no hose to get in the way, but they are not as comfortable.

The guy I bought the machine contacted the manufuctuer for me and they said my machine shut 2x because my mask was leaking up to 25% and the machine couldn't keep up.
yeah that’s what i figured happened. do you have the auto power on feature when it detects your breathing turned on?
