If you can afford a deep freeze, find a farmer who is close enough you can buy a 1/4 - 1/2 of a cow and free range chickens. Check the farm out to make sure the chickens are truly free range as the taste is much better for the meat and I eat eggs like I drink coffee. We eat a lot of chicken but I can't get down too much of the shit chicken they sell in the grocery stores - I have to cook it in something and try to make it tender.
Think about digestion and what starts digestion - and how your body will digest protein (fast and slow). If you don't understand digestion - look it up on google and start reading on quick and fast digested sources because it matters. My post meal is usually eggs and I don't just eat egg whites - they are a great food and the choline in the yolk is great for the liver.
Eggs are easily digested and it is easy to scramble 6 eggs in 5 minutes.
I eat a lot of red meat but I know where and who it comes from - the farmer up the road. I don't think it is as good a source as real food but sometimes I will have a Vega Sport protein drink because it is convenient. I use this brand because others cause stomach issues.
Nuts are full of healthy fats and a decent amount of protein but look up the macros - they are not all equal. Almonds and walnuts are two of my favourite.
I will periodically make a big bowl of lentils, some left over meats, and mix it with rice - throw some veggies in if you like and you have multiple meals in the fidge for 4-5 days. I love lentils but be aware they full of carbs too and added to white rice you are getting a lot of carbs. If your serious about this - get a calculator and look up what your eating and try to make sure your macro balance / calories meets your goals.
Just my opinion but if you rely on whey or protein powder for your protein you won't grow near as much as if you get it from beeg, eggs, real food, etc. Nothing against a person who has a protein drink after a workout but it should not be your main source of protein. For people who say I drink my calories because of the PED's making me sick - drop those PED's and find ones that don't and eat real food.
@Funnyman has probably forgot more than most know and from what I am told is very reasonable in price. He is the main trainer here and from reading his posts, for what it is worth, he has done it all and I wouldn't hesitate to reach out and ask for a price on what you need.
He has helped many here.
