If your levels are normal why are you looking to lower your iron level ... if I’m understanding you correctly?

High iron
High trans sat
Normal ferritin.
Had my ferritin been high id say hemochromatosis the exception was normal ferritin

Blood letting through hospital phlebotomy or blood donation is the only way I’m aware of to lower iron levels

What did your doc suggest?
Long story man long long story of useless 😪 he has fucked me sobhard in this last year with the outmost stupiedest shit ever.
Im now going through...shoukd I say paying for truebalance Healthcare care due to the incompetence of my doctor... and befoer anyone says oh just go get another doctor lolol has anyone tried that in these times. Lol
I was just quick browsing Deferasirox (Exjade tablets.
I really didnt wanna go down the donate road,
phlebotomy what exactly is that . Isnt that the same as donating blood? Im a little under educated on that stuff

Basically blood letting done in a hospital by a doctors request. Blood is discarded afterwards and I don’t believe they ask personal questions like at a blood bank

Ahhhh ok so same as donating but only difference is its not used.
I had my self all signed up for donating before i cam out but turned it away as i was low calcium and phosphate and didn't wanna screw stuff up.
But my hematocrit and hemoglobin was just done and its low like bang on. And since my ferritin isnt high i dont wanna start a routin of droppin it. But i might have to if i cant find another option.

By chance do you know how much iron would drop on a donation?
Exsample say im 40 . Reference is 11-30 any guess ?

No I’m unsure of that but I know hemoglobin drops 10-12 points I believe, hence why I donate fairly often.
I would assume a fairly significant amount since they take out approximately 550ml of blood during a donation

Phlebotomy was tough to get for me. Had to get a couple tests showing very high on the RBC counts. I now get them whenever i need to.
World of difference on many levels.
Avoid high iron foods and you will be good, your iron is not extremely too high currently.
Avoid iron foods and all is well for you.
Hemochromatosis, is not just high iron, there is specific testing that goes along with that, iron is first step in the test process.

Ok thnx. Yeh my hematocrit only 42.9 and hemoglobin is only 14.9.
No worries there. But iv recently dug into alot about issues if you have with high iron. Like hemochromatosis and MTHFR -Methylation , it was under my impression that 38 lebel iron was definitely immediately donate. And 40 was emergency situations? And having high oron is linked to various issues including cancer.
