(women) DHEA dose and from where?

Trying to find DHEA for my GF who has low test/estrogen.
Endocrinologists don't know what they're doing in Canada, especially for women has been our experience.
She wants to try DHEA, but have read mixed literature about the dose for women, from 5mg to 50mg a day.
Also, I haven't seen any domestics carry it, and it's not available for sale in Canada.

Maybe someone could suggest something, other than injecting test.

Is Dhea something that could slip thought customs easy tho ? Its so cheap in the states.
