TruBalance Healthcare (HRT Clinic)

Lol really?? That's amazing.. It seems more and more to me that dr's and mostly twats.. more specicially, if it comes from the patients mouth, its wrong.. if it comes from their mouth, they are right.

whenever I'm about to speak to any Dr, I preface with "Just so you know I do a lot of reading and research, if I question you it's not because I don't believe you or think you're wrong its because it's either a point of interest or your answer goes against what I recall reading". It's not to massage their feelings, but rather in hopes of not shutting down the conversation.

I think it helps but most of their egos are so huge they can't stand being questioned.

to be clear, I don't think I know more than them, but they can't possibly keep up with everything.

Reading in old medical texts, before they relied on blood tests for everything..
Achilles tendon relaxation timing was a primary clinical test for hypothyroidism.
Holy shit. Had that done so many times and never knew that. I assumed it was neuro test like the knee tap which I assumed was for traumatic damage to the spine. Somewhat off on both of those I see.
Now that I think of it I can't remember the last time I had it done but I sure had it plenty when I was younger, seemed like a routine thing. Mind you I got busted up a lot so that probably warps my view.

Probably more likely that is what you were tested for.
This other test I'm talking about, Woltzmans sign, is checking how long it takes the muscle to relax after the reflex.

Ah yes, I was always(?) sitting up with knee bent, leg hanging down like when they do the knee. Hammering me, poking and scraping all over. I've been reading about these since I first posted, fascinating stuff, tons I didn't know especially about the "reflex arc". Thank You

a lot of bs being thrown about here...

Trueblance isn't a clinic, it's a service that connects you with a doctor(or nurse practioner) that specializes in hormones. Every clinic in their network operates independently and will have varying levels of expertise and areas of focus. Donna who runs the customer facing part of TB is not a doctor, think of her more as a concierge.

If you need something, text her and she'll get it sorted. She's very good at connecting you with a doctor that meets your needs. So tell her you're an athlete that wants to optimize your hormones - not just "fix low t". The magic word is "optimize".... She'll find you a doctor that prescribes on the high end.

The doctor I have is amazing, truly knowledgeable, works with many athletes and tested everything possible. She's happy to discuss peptides, HGH, supplements and answer questions about TRT. I have a once a year appointment because my bloodwork has been perfect for a couple of years now.

Onmen - which is now science and humans is a TRT mill. At least they were, S&H might be better now? They just get you to low/average T number and refuse to discuss anything else. They don't really understand hormones.

With ANY clinic you can get your meds from wherever you like - that's the law. With True balance, the fedex it to your door and you can order any supplies you need with it. If you get low on needles, text donna and she'll get some sent out.

Don't confuse the alberta "true balance" which is a longevity clinic with crazy prices.

It would seem as though you have used them and would recommend? I've been back and forth on this all week. There is a Men's Health Clinic that recently opened and seems to have decent reviews. I may check that out before making a decision.

appreciate your post.

coming up on three years, started with onmen. The doctor (nurse practitioner in my case) is fantastic. She's all about optimizing how I feel and is willing to run high if blood work looks good - thankfully mine does. So it's all about who TB pairs you with, so be honest with Donna about what you want. If you want to improve athletic performance and optimize, say that - don't beat around the bush.

Honestly I don't even use my prescription a lot of months though... I like to run primo along with higher test for a lot of the year - when I do that I prefer higher concentration UGL test anyway.

I don;t know if your truebalance is the same as mine or if one is trubalance and the other is truebalance etc.. When you say don't confuse "alberta true balance" with yours, you are likely right in that we are not seeing the same company/clinic or whatever they are called..

Either way, the one I go through is not run the way you say yours is run. I have had confirmation of this verbally by their hormone specialist and the LP I spoke to from there.

You are right in that they are not clinics, infact the one I go through is labelled as a "medical spa" I believe.

The one I go through deffinitely does not connect you with a dr that meets your needs. I found the opposite, I was told no one actually gets to speak to the doctor and that all advice/prescriptions etc are later confirmed and signed off on by a dr. When I have my appointments its always with a "hormone specliast" not a dr.. But once that call is over, you get another call by a LP who works there and they bascially ask how I felt things went, any questions, did I agree with the plan moving forward etc..

I'm curious to know what province you are in and what company or whatever runs yours.. When I type in "true balance" into google, there is piles of clinics/spa's etc that use the name truebalance to some variance.. They clearly aren't run the same, but one would easily belive they all fall under some sort of franchise umberalla by the similarity of the name.
