But i truly feel like you are missing my point.
my point is that although i do not agree with many things you say, maybe even find it “offensive” i want you to have the freedom to say what you think in public without persecution.
If you are not willing to fight for OUR freedoms, then dont worry, we are fighting for you and your family.
But we have a better chance if we fight together.

If you're really concerned about damaging the developing psyche of 10 year old kids, shouldn't we ban porn first?

I'm mostly a free speech absolutist and wish the American 1st amendment would be applied globally. Even for things I find abhorrent. If we cannot trust the citizenry to distinguish fact from fiction, doesn't that invalidate democracy as a political system? How can we trust such people to make an informed decision about something as dire as the future of a nation?

Bullshitters and charlatans have always existed. It shouldn't be up to the state to decide who is and isn't one.

I just started looking at the q anon thing. Its mostly just information that i have always been following elsewhere. This guy is just a source i guess.
but i think there is more to that slogan. Seems like a decent sign of unity. Something we desperately need right now if we want any kind of free society going forward.

Is Porn on facebook? That was my point, and the point to which I was responding. As I mentioned, and which is clearly backed up by legal precedent. If language incites violence or does harm it is not protected.

I was referring to Liberalism, not Communist totalitarian regimes. If you go far enough left or right you encounter the worst regimes, which have committed the worst atrocities.

what if I go to a golf course and scream at the top of my lungs "GOLFING IS GAY!" and then I get beat into a coma with golf clubs? should my speech have been limited? what gets considered 'safe' & 'appropriate' and where do we draw the line? sorry but too many canadian/american lives have been sacrificed to pay for that freedom of speech with their blood for me to care if im going to upset some snowflake with my words. & porn is totally fucking up the youth, just look at the most popular porn videos on any porn website, absolutely vile and degenerate stuff. Pics of naked women are ok if its not sodom and gommorah type shit.

Where you got conspiracy theory from I don't know, it sure as hell wasn't me. I made points of the contributions of liberalism, and that freedom of speech is not a carte blanche to say whatever you want, and should not be. The other point I was trying to make is that there are serious problems, of which you see none, to reporting baseless and outright false facts. That's propaganda, not reporting.

I agree that you have the right to listen, think, or espouse whatever you want, but when it conflicts with the rights of others, or foments unjustified resentment, anger, and violence towards groups such as immigrants, minorities, women, or political opposition, that's when I agree that the state should draw the line.

I would be very concerned if my voice were being silenced.

Are you serious? You have the right to say what you want, it is when your language incites harm or violence against another. So, if you go to a golf course, and I agree golfing is lame as fuck, but if you go to a golf course, and say whatever, and the product of your language was to incite violence, ans as such a group of non golfers converged and beat someone into a coma for being a golfer, then yes, you are an idiot who should spend your life in prison. lol

My earlier point was that porn is not on social media, like facebook, and neither are hate groups or their ilk. With respect to social media, these are private companies, and as such are not public forums, so they can censor, which they have, in response to overwhelming public pressure and influence.

I believe I've said all I can say on this topic.

Heres a better example perhaps, you let me know, if I say on my imaginary fakebook account to all my fake ass friends that "bill gates is an evil man with evil motives and microsoft needs to pay!" what if a bunch of mongoloids see that, get fired up, and go storm the local microsoft building and lynch some innocent employees? Was it my fault for what I said and should I be held responsible for the actions of others simply because the words I said had unintentionally inspired them to do something bad? If we allow any of our speech to be censored then the people trying to control us, tightens tinfoil hat, will use that relentlessly to their advantage to achieve their goal of control. In first example, of course it's not your fault. There is too much distance (time and space) between you and the perpetrators. The example is far too broad, and not related to what I was referring to. In your second example, if you go to some right-wing rally, let's call it Unite the Right, and let's say that rally is held in Charlottesville, Virginia, and in that rally you were found to be the main instigator of enciting the violence that resulted in the death of Heather Heyer, then yes, you are a piece of shit who deserves to rot in prison. Speech is speech until it results in violence or harm. It becomes a weapon, no different than a gun.

Anyhow, it's been fun, but I have to get back to work. For the record, this has gone on long enough. Believe what you want. I'm going back to Word Association and look forward to next Thursday's pussy.

They used to get away with everything because they claimed to be a “platform for all ideas” but now that they are editing and removing content they are acting as a publisher. accountability will hopefully come soon. See Michelle Rampell questioning a rep from i think google/youtube over censorship and accountability?
