A BPC-157 question for endurance training

Just wondering if anyone has used bpc-157 for recovery in endurance training? This would be things like sore joints and bones from increased mileage?
I enjoy training running and was primarily using it for tearing off fat while I was considerably overweight but have since fallen in love with the sport and am training for a half marathon next May.
I'm doing well and taking rest days when I notice an ankle or a foot not feeling right the next day after a long run but was wondering if this peptide would be considered useful for prevention so that I can try and increase mileage while staying consistent.
My absolute worst fear is taking an injury that removes me from training for a while as I love the progress in making.
If anyone wants to leave their two cents about this or any other compounds to try for this purpose please let me know

Thanks so much in advance!

Body Protection Compound 157 should help in the long run. Even if you aren't injured, as you add more and more you may overdo it or have micro tears which you really don't feel, but could lead to something worse. I can't see a downside, only an upside.

I do believe BPC-157 shows promise in recovery, tissue repair and tendon/ligament healing but when it comes to endurance training specifically, the evidence is still sketchy and mostly preclinical. What we know from animal studies and a handful of small human pilots is that BPC-157 seems to speed up fibroblast migration, improve angiogenesis, reduce inflammation and even boost growth hormone receptor expression in tendon and muscle tissue.

That said, there’s little to no solid data showing it can directly improve VO2 max, delay fatigue or drive mitochondrial adaptations so you’re not going to suddenly get a real edge during endurance events. Where it does look more plausible is in recovery as your intended goal of the thread, from less soreness to faster healing from micro damage and potentially quicker joint and tendon recovery. If you’re logging long runs, stacking heavy mileage or hammering volume, BPC-157 might help as a recovery assist after big training blocks by reducing downtime.

Hypothetically, I’d only look at it as an add on to fundamentals like adequate protein intake, maybe some aminos support, enough carbs for fuel, quality sleep and perhaps a nitric oxide or anti inflammatory strategy in the mix. Oh and of course, quality and sourcing are huge since the peptide market is the wild west lol.

Bottom line ya it’s not magic but it might help keep you in the game of marathon runs by supporting recovery from overuse and high mileage, acting as a synergistic tool rather than a direct performance enhancer.

I use it myself alongside TB-500!

I’m so glad that you fell in love with running/exercising on your fat loss journey. This is an excellent opportunity for you to permanently make it your lifestyle. I know you already know this. That’s why you set a goal to run a half marathon in May! 👏🏻🙌🏻

Nothing will protect you from hurting yourself if you’re not doing things properly. Also, no amount of peptides will fully heal really bad injuries. Always keep that in mind. Prevention is better than the cure.

Now, when I say doing things properly, I mean proper warm up, cool down, and stretch. Listen to your body. Do not push yourself too much. I’m saying this because it sounds like you were an inactive person who was constantly gaining more fat every year. I too became this way too many times in my life. Every time I went back at it, lost the weight, and started pushing myself, I’d get a serious injury (shoulders, knees, ankles, hips/groin, hamstrings, elbows, neck, and lower back) where I would not be able to exercise for several months. This would get me depressed, drinking, and eating junk food nonstop until I was back at square one. This cycle has been repeating for 10 years. There are years that went by where I didn’t/couldn’t do much. I feel very stupid for letting go. I don’t want you to repeat my mistakes.

Once you’ve exhausted your muscles, there’s no reason to stay in the gym to further train those muscles. Even if you’re not feeling exhausted in general, trust me it’s enough for people who aren’t at an elite level.

In short, the answer is YES, it will help you stay injury free to a certain extent, so long as you do not push yourself to the point of injury. It’s easier to push past that mental barrier than you think.

I’m on BPC157/TB500 combo twice daily alongside gh twice daily. I’m happy.

Thank you so much for words of encouragement! Yes I hope this love stays with me for the rest of my life and I become a life long fitness enthusiast. Down 54lbs since April so far.

Yes I understand your words of warning and so far I do have a good handle on the basics. Things like diet, proper rest days, utilizing recovery tactics, trying to ensure good sleep habits etc.
I am more or less looking for ways to try and stave of injuries in any way possible while already implementing the typical high value strategies you've mentioned here.

Thanks for the insight on the compound, I saw that it is used in tandem with tb500 a lot. Have you noticed anything in particular about the effects? Side effects? Main effects? Etc.

IDK but I wonder if it might be a great idea at least in one aspect. The effect of promoting formation of new blood vessels with the additive effects of CV training might literally be just what the Dr should order for certain things. Throw in some anti-inflammatory action and a dash of collagen synthesis and you are winning. IDK much about running but for example I'd think the meniscus takes a pounding with all that mileage, especially for a heavier guy. We always hear about how it barely has any circulation which limits healing so...At the very least it shouldn't hurt anything?

What dose of the BPC175/TB500 are you taking? I read that 250mcg twice daily is a good starter dose. I've got a few bottles of this blend on order in preparation for an upcoming hand surgery, hoping I can speed healing and recovery a bit.

54 lbs is a lot! Good job 👏🏻
Your joints must be having a blast.
When I get fat and drop the weight, I can feel how fluid my movements are as I walk around. Nice and light.
I didn’t experience any side effects.
It has definitely helped with minor injuries.
There’s no way for me to determine if there were preventative effects but if it helped with small pulls and strains quickly, then most likely we can conclude it has helped prevent injuries.

250mcg twice daily is a good starter dose. At the moment I’m using 1mg twice a day. Only because I’ve been dealing with a major injury for almost a year. I’m just experimenting. Before that I’ve used 500mcg daily and twice a day after that. It would help with recovery from pulls and strains that would occur frequently. I probably would’ve been injured too many times had I not used it. I’ve read about people using it as you’ve mentioned for recovery after surgery and they’ve had a lot of success. Their surgeons were impressed with the rate of recovery. I started at 500mcg once a day, then moved up to twice a day. After a while thought I’d get hit with major injuries and won’t be able to do much. But what I can say is, while trying to fix severe injuries for many months, I can see every minor injury has healed fully. Best of luck with the surgery.

1mg/day? Dang that must get a little pricey, no? Either way, if it's improving your health then it's worth it. Thanks for the advice and well wishes!

The injuries started messing with my mental health like never before. That’s why I’ve spent all I have on things that are injury/recovery related. As a final resort, I will try stem cells. I looked into it a bit and many places seem shady. It’s also very expensive. I’d need a line of credit or something for that. For the other stuff, I like to buy a 12-16 month supply and get it tested. This helps with affordability.
