Where do you go for your Vitamins?

NAC, TUDCA, P-5-P, ubiquinol, fish oils, Multi's....

I used to drive over the border for the day/weekend, but that's been stuffed for now (not paying for the damn test).

Are there any good sites to creep for deals in Canada?

I got NAC on Amazon, brand is Naka, I also use their Vit K2 MK-7.

I Could only find tudca on Amazon as well, brand was nutricost.

I get the super concentrated fish oils from Costco.

My go to depending on the supplement is vitacost (USA) and vitamart (Canada). Many supplement are much less expensive in the US even with the exchange. I would prefer to support the local companies and I try to but there is no way I am going to pay $40 bucks for 30 200 mg Sam-e pills when Vitacost has the same compound @ 30 pills 400 mg each for $13 US.

Obviously it works out for you but could you take a guess at what the website price difference has to be to make it worth your while to go with vitacost? ie with all costs like shipping, duty, exchange, tax etc if you load up $100 before tax into your cart at Vitamart (my usual source), what total in your cart at Vitacost would make you switch?

Hope that makes sense, it did in my head before I started typing lol

Morning @gondar1 - I don't think too hard on it but there are a few supplements I take year round or try to. For example: Sam-e, ubiquinol, and black seed oil. It is approx 20-25% more to buy in the US for the dollar exchange for Sam-e. I make an order every few months and compare the two prices. I take 800-1200 mg of Sam-e (I am 230 lbs and my dog takes 400 mg a day - he is 125 lbs). In general I find the US site to be half or more than half the cost. I have yet to been charged duty ever buying from Vitacost in the US, I don't recall taxes being charged in the US but Vitamart in Canada always does. Don't quote me on this but I can screenshot my next purchase.

The shipping is $40 Canadian dollars and I get my product from the US in approx 4-5 days. From Vitamart (Canada) it takes 7-14 days. No idea how products get to me faster from the US but they do every time. I infrequent large orders to make use of the shipping.

To sum it up - if it is half the cost I know I am saving 25%. I would always walk across the street and support people I know if they aren't 2 plus the price. I Hope that makes sense. Another good friend on the forums buys supplements from the US too and has been charged ridiculous duty charges but I will have to ask him. As mentioned, I have no idea why I never get charged. If I was, I probably wouldn't buy from US companies.

Hope you are well.
take care,
GR

Thanks for the comprehensive answer, saved me lots of time and effort. I buy in a similar manner, probably gonna give Sam-e a try next time, the cost has always held me back. Hope you are well too sir.

I get most of my stuff from Amazon, the rest from Canadian Protein.

For the most part, I'm taking Ubiquinol, ALA, Tudca, NAC, Vit D3, Vit K, Magnesium, Melatonin, Fish Oils, Black Seed Oil, and a multi.

I dont think they ever carried it. Only canadian source i ever found was buyneedles but they made there own page just for tudca for some reason. Tudca.ca
You are right. I checked what I have and it’s called Liver C. Do have some Tudca but really not sure where I bought it.

You're right, and they had some great Tudca - but unfortunately they don't sell it anymore. I tried to put in orders, sent emails, even eventually called the number on their website - and they told me they no longer carry that product.

Regarding tudca - I spoke with the owner of a local supplement store. Health Canada is refusing to give this product a “NPN” a natural product number. So many companies including allmax are no longer selling it here. Nutricost on Amazon is still the only one I can find, and it’s currently $61 for 60 caps of 250mg.

Might have to order it from the states

I ordered some good Tudca from the States (Purebulk). The only drawback was that it was not in capsules, just in powder form.

At this point I don’t think it’s worth the hassle if I’m running moderate doses of Tbol/var for 6 weeks.

I still run NAC, milk thistle, C-Liver, vitamin C amongst other supplements
