LAB TEST: TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL REFERENCE RANGE:7.6 - 31.4 NMOL/L Result>7.7

So, I paused my t400 for a month to flush again and here I sit again .1 over the low testosterone range and my doctor still insists I'm juuuuuust fine. This is the third time I've gone off my T400 because she wants to check where I'm at and I'm back to 7.7 with taking 1ml/200mg of Delastryl every two weeks.

Is this just a Canadian doctor underprescribing thing or just because she's a female doctor and doesn't realize how much fatigue I feel unless I "augment" her prescription with an additional shot of T400 every other week from my Delastryl shot that still only keeps me around 14 NMOL/L(from a private lab)?

What would be a "good" or "reasonable" level considering I take T400? I feel like I need to take something to her and point to the fact that I'm not really being treated properly with such a minuscule amount of testosterone over the considered "low level".

So frustrating because I just sense the bitch tests me every couple of months to see if I'm augmenting more than seeing if her low dose for me is sticking to .1 over what's considered low. Any advice would be very appreciated.

May be a silly question but are you a big guy ? I’m always between 230-250 and I’ve found the low range of the chart I don’t feel great but in the upper end I feel much better.

Other people who are smaller may feel better on a lower dose.

I relate this to any medication. Some can take a half aspirin other need two.

If you feel better supplementing and she won’t help just keep supplementing and get her to watch your bloods every three months.

Now keep in mind that I doubt that any doctor will prescribe you 600mg of test every 2 weeks. I would think there has to be something else at play here. Also just a side note the T400 might not have totally cleared out of your system in only 4 weeks. So possibly your results were still showing the t400. But with that said if you had of wanted to make sure you were low you should have stopped everything for the 4 weeks. Maybe the next time she wants bloods do that. With results that close to being out of range my endo would have done something about it. Possibly ordering a second set of bloods a little bit down the road to see if the trend is still on the low end before adjusting dosage. My prescribed trt doasage is 250mg every 2 weeks. That puts me in the 17 to 20ish range. When bloods are drawn the week following the shot.

A big red flag for me is one 200mg shot every 2 week!

You can't live like that. It's an hormonal roller coaster.

Did you tried to split this doses into twice a week injection of 50mg, you'll should feel a lot better than going with a shot every 2 weeks and you'll still use 200mg every 14days

A shot every 2 weeks bring you over the normal range in a few days and then you slowly keep going down after a week, so toward the middle of the second weeks things must be completly off the chart.

I don't; thnk 1 month is long enough to be off the t400..

I also agree that once a week is not good. Try 50mg 2 times a week without the "extra" and then get blood work.. Make sure your checking your estrogen as well. And while they are at it, check the thyroid too.

ya depending on how long he was on the t400, it was likely not all cleared out by 4 weeks.

Definitely not long enough. Especially if it has any deconate or undeconate, I went off t400 for 8 weeks and my doc still said i was fine.( i was not, i was in range for a 80yr old)

Not to hijack this thread but I'll be leaving country for 2 weeks. On 200mg cruise. Would a bolus 400mg t400 shot be sufficient for holding me over 4 those 2 weeks?

I'm 6'4, and generally 250 to 270. In decent shape and not much fat. Old habits of working out, even if I'm in pain....die hard.
I'll tell you that I can literally feel it when my T is too low. It feels like someone is controlling special little spigot inside me and only let's it drip a tiny bit when it should be flowing.

You hit the nail on the head. I have tried splitting it 100 per week but I still feel "off".
In other forum posts I've seen that testosterone can have a pretty damn low half life in the body.

Thyroid is excellent and the last time I "flushed" any extra was a loonnggg time.

It's been just .1 over low since I started my trt with my current doctor. My old doctor was old school so instead of a number, he told me I had the t level of an eighty year old woman.

I have to admit that I feel uncomfortable ASKING for results and anything in this area from her. She's great with every thing else (and there is s buuuch there) however my testosterone, I feel like I'm going to kick a hill full of bees.

Lol. My old doctor said pretty much the same thing except it was "80 year old woman" which to this day...the words have meaning, psychologically if you know what I mean?

I use Dracorex for my t400.

I use Dracorex for my T400, too... It's enanthate.

200mg/ 2 weeks sounds like its too much time between shots. Now assuming blood work is in check, have you considered HCG? TRT can make some people feel "off" despite having a good T level. HCG can replace some of the LH in your body that has been shut off thats required for other hormones to be made. I added 500iu 2x/ week with my cruise dose of 150mg( also split into bi-weekly shots) and it made a world of a difference. Ill probably switch to 250iu EOD for more stability. Feeling like a horny maniac after every shot loses its appeal after a while, I rather have consistency lol. 🤣
