Muscle Cars!

1988 GT Cobra with 60000 original miles on her. A few mods and work in progress. Came from South California, it honestly looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.

My dad had a bunch of muscle cars.
68 cuda
65 tbird
63 split window corvette.
73 corvette
68 Pontiac gto

The 63 corvette he sold to buy a tractor. I was 15 when he got it. The fucker would tease me that he would let me drive it to school one day, I just had to keep it clean every week. Sold it a week before my birthday. I would have got laid because of that car. Would have banged some chick in the front seat, lol.

The 73 vette he had some guy at the track build a motor for it. I was young, all I remember about that vehicle is when he punched it, me and my brother would try not to be squished into each other from the g force. Only one other seat in a vette, lol. He cracked the frame with that motor.

My dad and uncle were always working on cars in the garage.

My first vehicle was a 69 chev 1/2 ton with a 350. It was originally the farm truck. So my dad tells me if I do x amount of farm work, he will get it painted for me. So I do, he gets it painted, then two weeks later sells it on me.

Afterwords he told me it was because it had too much power and the holly carb had to be adjusted all the time, so not reliable. I never had an issue adjusting it. I loved that truck.

Then he bought me a 1976 dodge arrow, from his sister, that piece of shit was wore out. But man it could corner like you wouldn’t believe. Max speed was 110 km down a hill, if my buddies were rowing out the windows.

My dad used to do shit like this all the time. Promise something then change his mind and take it away. Could be why I am like I am, if I say I’ll do something, I do it no matter what.

Then I owned a bunch of shit disposable cars. Next good one was a 1980 el Camino. Originally came with a 265. But I had owned a caprice classic Previously that got smashed, so I pulled the motor and tranny and rebuilt if.
Threw the 350ci with a manual shift auto body 350 turbo hydro and a 2500 rpm stall in that car. It was stupid fast. About 330 hp in a 3000 lb car. Too bad traction was a dream, lol. I’d never race off the line, prefered to be doing about 50 km. Redlined at 7500 rpm, so I was doing 100 km out of first gear, lol. I would blow the alternator belt off that car all the time pounding it down to first at 50 km, couldn’t handle the instant rpm torque, lol.

Sorry I got sidetracked, I used to be a big gearhead before I started my shop and ran out of free time. Before I moved back to Edmonton from Kelowna I was going to become a heavy duty mechanic and fix the equipment that logged.

Then I had an opportunity to own my own butcher shop, so I did that instead.
