Garlic consumption and reduced cancer risk

I had a buddy that ate so much garlic that he smelled like cooking food.

I remember one time my brother came over and my buddy was there, my brother asks what am I cooking,
I turned to him and said,
Oh, thats Jeff, he just stinks, lol

Jeff turns to me and says,
You bastard.

They had to have a talk with him at work about it. He would stink out his office with his garlic body smell, lol.

Guy was a true Ukrainian, lol.

ukranian in laws eat raw garlic because they say it tastes good.

No one can stand when they make their garlic sausage or humburger jerky. Its so over powered by garlic... The last time they gave us some hamburger jerky our dog wouldn't eat it.

Ya, eat too much and you smell it off your body the next day. They can say whatever they like, I will shut my door and open my window cause I don’t want to offend my colleagues but I’m the boss and I like garlic and will not stop eating it.
My dad use to tease me when I accidentally had too much - I stunk for a day straight.

I make garlic sausages at work, don't sell near as much here as I did in Edmonton. The Ukrainians lined up for miles, lol

Remin

Reminds me of an old fav joke.

What do you get when you eat acid laced perogies?

A trip to Edmonton...

(insert rimshot)
I would sell 600 rings of garlic sausage a week. Schools would sell it for fund raisers, lol. It was insane.
Same as dry garlic ribs. The guy who invented the garlic ribs you get as an appetizer everywhere in Edmonton owned the shop my store was in back in the 1970-80’s, so I had the original formula. He eventually just made garlic ribs, and changed the formula a bit.
Shit I pounded the garlic in those pretty hard. Before Christmas we would sell almost 500 lbs of those deep fried goodies, lol.

Oh and my last garlic story. When we first opened the butcher shop, we had no safe, we were going out drinking after work that night, so my brother wanted to hide the week deposit somewhere. Just in case someone broke in. So he open the 25 kg drum of granulated garlic I used for sausage and put it in there. When he took the money in they put it in to be destroyed, I guess their whole safe smelled like garlic, lol.

I know its good for you but for whatever reason I have some kinda digestion issue with it. If i make a roast with garlic I get bloated and cant eat much. Same roast without garlic and I feel fine. Onions seem to do the same thing. Seems to take forever to actually digest.

You have to work your way up. Start out slow and increase every week, or you may get the shits.

I am the same with onions but can eat raw garlic without any issues now. Crush it and let it sit for a minute or 2 to increase the allicin amount and then eat. As @Sorbate said, best to start small and increase or you get stomach bloat and pain. Garlic can burn your skin, some people have cut a piece in half and burnt off an unsightly blemish on their skin by taping it on overnight. Same idea as your doctor will freeze off some moles, etc.

I used to eat so much garlic with my food that it made the food spicier.
It would leak out my pores. I wasn’t as bad as my friend.
He came over to party, my brothers drops by and asks me what I’m cooking it smells good.
I say, ah, it’s just Jeff, he stinks.
Jeff says, hey, fuck you bastard, lol.

It’s like eating hot sauce, you don’t start eating fire right away, or you are up shitting at 3 am, because your body has given you no choice and wants it out.
You start off using 1 clove at a time. Buy a garlic press, then no need to even peel.
Eventually you’ll be eating garlic cloves. I used to eat olives stuffed with garlic cloves, and this stinky cheese (can’t remember the type of cheese) I loved the combination. My wife asked me if I ever wanted to get laid again, lol.
Then I’d run over and breathe on her and try to lick her face, as she is frantically trying to punch me in the balls, lol.

According to the FOD Map the two hardest foods to digest are garlic and onions. Once i cut them out i got off all acid reflux meds and almost never get heartburn anymore.

I believe the incidence of cancer would decrease significantly if people stopped eating processed foods, especially sugar. Just eat balanced food, don't smoke and get fresh air regularly (as opposed to air conditioning, etc). My two cents.

I’ve never had an issue with that. Pretty much the only food my body will not digest is milk.
Funny thing is for decades I drank 4 litres eod.
Now I can’t touch it.
Cancer would reduce if people stopped overeating and eating overprocessed food.
Agree with you on that.

All of the allium family throw cross-sensitivities for people on a FODMAP/low residue style diet. That's everything from Ramps, to garlic, to green onion. It's a common allergy at restaurants.

Also let's not forget how statistics work, a 50% reduction of 0.1% is only a change of 0.05%.

garlic is way to acidic to consume. Its ph level is 3.3. Garlic is known to reduce cholesterol by removing the plaque in your arteries, which it does but it also destroys the arteries themselves. I highly recommend not eating garlic.
