I have to say they are doing very, very well for whom they have on roster this year. I am extremely and pleasantly surprised. Last night I watched them dismantle the Yankees something fierce. It completely reminded me of the 1992 and 1993 seasons. Just firing on all cylinders. I wish they could have kept this run for October however it is nice to have a little cushion.

I remember both world series well. I was there. Here is a picture of 1992. This was the first time in my life where in a crowd I was able to pick my feet up and didn't fall to the ground because the pressure of the crowd was keeping me in place. Absolutley amazing. I remember cops everywhere. Shitloads of them even on horseback. I was carrying a 12pk which at the time used to come 2 bottle wide by 6 bottle long cardboard case with handle. Holding a beer in one hand and the case in the other a cop looked me square in the eye and started walking towards me. I'm 20 and thinking "ANOTHER drinking in public fine for me?" The crowd is thick so I can't run. He walked up to me, took the beer out of my hand, lifted it to the light and looked at it. It had like one swig left. He looks and me and says "Go Jays" turns around walks over to an area that they were stacking glass bottles nice and neatly. Never saw a punch or even an argument. Had to be a million friggin people down there.

This post would have been a nice addition to the Baseball Pool thread

They need a power hitter. Come on Vladdy
And one amazing starting pitcher. The Jays are doing well putting it in play, advancing runners and playing smart ball like continuing running during plays. Vladdy will come alive. They will only spring for one guy though and if they do I thinking a smashing starter that will give them 6 or 7 hard innings. They can score, they just need to keep the defense tight as possible.
