I have a malinois/black Shepard cross that was breed to be a police/military dog and she is hands down the smartest dog I have ever seen. She needs to be walked, ran and mentally stimulated on a daily basic lol if not she’ll drive me crazy lol. It’s fun all the weird things that I can teach her and usually can be taught simple tasks quite easily.

They are one of the easiest to teach to do anything but owning the breed is a life long commitment to working the dog, they are not a little ornament. I love the breed but they are not for everyone. The few I had stay here and train, after an hour of work/training, often go to the toy box and take turns bringing me tug toys or balls to throw. You have to set the boundaries to stop, I have yet to meet one that eventually just says enough and lays down. Reminds me of the Border Collie mix that was part of the family - there was no off button.
Sounds like a nice dog.
