Odd thing happened with my thyroid TSH

I’ve been taking 100mcg t4 a day as a prescription for over a year now

TSH prior to meds was around 3.

TSH dropped to 1.20 on 75mcg t4

Doctor wanted my TSH under 1.0 for optimum health. So he bumped me to 100mcg t4

I regularly tested 0.77-0.94 TSH on 100mcg t4 for the last 8 months.

Last week I did blood work and my TSH is now 1.78 on the same dose.

What could cause my TSH to jump 1 full point when I’ve been on the same dose for 8 months?

My weight went from 287 to 256 during that time.

My diet has been steady.

I take my thyroid pill 45 mins before getting out of bed religiously.

Nothing I can see could cause the change.

What’s your free t3?
On any medicine/gear/supplements?
hows your selenium/iodine/iron/zinc
And did you change your diet?

Free t3 wasn’t teated

Only thing added since my other TSH tests has been chromium and vanadium

Of what you mention I do take 50 mg zinc a day

I’d probably ask your doc if you should be concerned

my endo goes by t3, t4 and tsh. Mainly t3 levels is what she’s concerned about

had low t3 and was put on t4, t3 went back up but I still felt . She did more testing and found I had some mineral deficiencies. Added iron, zinc, iodine, selenium and now my t3 is fine and I’m off the t4
My tsh was always different, but low- mid normal, except briefly after I got off the t4 it was high normal

Pretty sure I figured out what made my TSH jump..

I have been dieting for about a year now. Slow and steady, but I have been in a calorie deficit for quite some time.

I'm positive my TSH jumped up becuse I was dieting harder at the time it jumped. Doc bumped my T4 from 100 to 125 and my TSH dropped like 0.1.. So he bumped it up to 150mcg (he wanted to go 175 but I wanted to do it slow). Then my TSH last week tested 0.54.. Huge from from the 1.6 or so it was sitting at.. The only difference was I added some extra fat to my diet and backed off on cardio to give me some time to heal up a bit and let the metabolism get going again.
