King of the Streets- no rules no time limit bare nuckle boxing

This ain't nothing like the scraps of old in the 80's. Our coup de gras was typically a good hard swift kick to the head or for the wild ones a stomp on the head. Fights were really fast and hard back then lasting no more than 30sec. A lucky punch back then usually meant the guy that gave it stands back and waits for buddy to get up, recover and put his dukes back up. Not too often the receiver gave up as it cost him face for the fight. Good fights only the combatants get targeted by others. Drinking and fighting were the two favorite sports in Northern Ontario back then.

Just seeing this and what amazed me is that fights that go any distance and punches are handed, other than a perfect left hook to the chin or uppercut - these guys don't break their hands. In the UFC when it started most guys, even when they won, never continued because they broke their hands or were injured winning. Unless on the street and fighting for your lives there should be some rules and I don't know if this organization has any. Eye gouging - blindness, shots to the balls (which was legal in the UFC for years) - no kids or serious injuries such as removal of a testicle. On the street - eyes, throat, balls - all make sense. I get wrapping their wrists - if they didn't they would be breaking their wrists too. I suspect they spend a lot of time training their hands, forearms, knuckles so they can punch the bone and not break knuckles.
Fun to watch, and I did not watch all the fights but being slammed on the pavement if allowed can result in permanent back damage that last decades ( I know from experience when a monster slammed me when I was young, stupid, too drunk, and stuck up for a friend - I was like a bag of potatoes lol ). I will watch the fight as I missed this thread or at least a lot of the fights. Unlike Bagua, I'm glad they wrap their wrists as few can fight minutes, land punches and not damage their wrists.
If you ever want to see brutal fights - watch the UFC 4 when Keith Hackney escapes a hold by smashing a guys balls over and over again and literally pulling his shorts half off to get a hold lol.

I knew some people would appreciate this. These guys are talented i think this could be almost as big as the ufc someday. I dont usually waste money on any American pay preview sports but I do enjoy paying for this when new events come out.

Yeah that was amazing, saw it in a strip joint, half the guys were yelling and a bunch were folded over in there seats holdong there stomachs like they were gonna be sick.
Sparks me to ask - I've been looking for this for years, there was an mma fight where one guy ended up with his feet (foot?) inside the other guys trunks for a fair bit of time. Ufc I think, pretty sure I saw Rogan show it one time and I think I've seen it elsewhere. A long time ago, I tried to show it to some friends at least 10 years ago but I've never been able to find it.
Anyone?

I remember this one like it was yesterday. O the golden years of MMA. Gracie, Severn and other really tough guys.

These guys are in the original vid are trying for a sport they are not trying to "go for it" so you get a different fight from real life. No rules means serious injury before anyone actually realizes how far it's gone possibly death. A rear naked choke becomes a death sentence unless the fight is stopped. A three quarter nelson is a broken back in 1.5 seconds. I didn't see any aimed punches to the throat nor fingers directed to eyes. They are being sportsmanlike. No rules will never happen on TV. If someone wants to see what happens in an actual dog fight using humans that is underground.

The king of the streets fights have lots of eye gouging. Im actually surprised no ones been really hurt but I think there's a big of an honor code snd people dont take it there unless they are truly desperate. They slam each other on concrete, bang each other's heads on the concrete, soccer kick head stomp. I watched one where a guy got his ear ripped off.

They do try to use skill over cheap shots though and no one tries to kill the other guy, the aim is just knocking him out or submitting him.

Back in the days of Pancrase and Bas Rutten - he was a legend. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...QtwJ6BAgZEAI&usg=AOvVaw3zxVkRQXMPit5gcUAGthdz
There is a great video if you look that shows all his liver kicks and head kick knockouts. No kicking rules, no gloves, but no closed fist punches. It was considered 'non gentlemanly' to punch at all for a while until some started using palm strikes. Once someone used palm striked, the fights open up and were more interesting. Bas Rutten, who I think is one of the best ever at kicking, used to hit with the bone in his palm and knock people down all the time. Some Japanese fights are brutal and allow for kicks while down, but for whatever reason Pancrase thought closed fists were a problem.
If you want to see stand up talent as he started with no ground game/holds at all, watch Bas Rutten's best Pancrase fights. I think the vid has 15-17 fights in it. Pretty sure this was before he entered the UFC and was the HW champ and got injured and was never the same.
If you can't find the vid, I will find it as I have it saved somewhere and stream it to the big TV.

My concern actually now is concussion. Up until recently and having had a pile of them in my younger years I now realize how much they have an effect long term. Until that realization I used to scream for head trauma in matches. If the chin shook and the eyes rolled I was in seventh heaven screaming and cheering but no longer.

100% the same for me, I think ive got a few symptoms and side effects already from concussions. It sucks so much because sports aren't the same now that we know this, mma and boxing are just my passions but even for my kids like football soccer etc. I didnt realize until now but I think minor hockey in ontario doesn't even have body contact anymore. Considering how much money pro sports bring in im surprised there isnt a bunch of wonder drugs that will help yet.
