Joke Paul vs Mike Tyson

I was just waiting for Tyson to get in there. At the beginning it appeared he wanted to put on a good show for the fans however he never got rolling. In the 5th round Paul came in with a flimsy (Jake Paul's punching is shit. Any number one contender will clobber this guy) exchange, opened his left leg and Tyson stepped left and came in with his famous left hand up, right hand dropped a touch, hips down and knees bent- ready to kill. Tyson of old but no follow up from him. No killer instinct present. It was that aggressiveness that took him to the top but it almost feels like he held back all the way.

As much as I would like to say NO and I was suffering the entire fight watching Mike, Jake was a gentleman and show real respect to Mike. He really held back when Mike was out of air.
Yes Jake did ease off the last few rounds.

Thing is if it was a real fight, Logan did it right, he avoided Mike till he gassed, tied him up when close, then started to go after Mike in round 3.

I was hoping for more of a slugfest, then Mike would have had a better chance. But Logan fought the right fight.

That being said, I think Logan was a bit of a pussy not going toe to toe, because Mike is 30 years older, he should have shown that he could take him on in a brawl to really prove he could fight him.

Why would you have to rig a fight with an old man? Lol. I heard it all day at work, cracks me up. but I understand that most people watching this are casuals and wanted their idol to win. If tyson knocked him out cold, you would never hear a thing. I dont think any of Jakes fights need to be rigged, they are 40lbs lighter or 30 years older. Dont get me wrong, I wanted tyson to win, but its just not practical

I watched the fight now a few times.

Mike was too cautious, Jake was holding back towards the end.

This was not the fearless I'm going to jump in and pound you Mike Tyson.

A little sad actually since Tyson hyped up the he was going to be the guy of old. He would have done much better if he just went for it, even if he got knocked down.

It was almost like Tyson was scared to throw anything.. Maybe he was more worried or scared of getting hit?

Yea i think Jake took it easy on him. It was actually kind of sad to mike so old and struggling with breathing and shit i felt bad for him.

Scared of falling down without his cane
He was obviously having issues with his legs. He came out decent in first round, then his legs failed him.

What I would like to see is if he trained for a whole year, then did another exhibition with another older fighter, but thinking 8 months and you’ll be ready for a young guy who been training steady for almost a decade?

Like Levrone, if he trained for another whole year and brought up his legs he would have been so much better.

Truthfully as you age you lose that crazy drive you have when younger. I’ve noticed it in the last couple years. If I was 30, I’d totally expend my shop, enjoy the hard work and crazy hours, it would be a challenge. Now I have a hard time wanting to put in 8 hours of hard work, lol.

In my mind I knew he wouldn’t win, but the old man in me really hoped he could have. It turned out as I figured it would deep inside my heart.

Either way, 58 year old Tyson would likely beat the crap out of an untrained 26 year old, and that’s still something. (in the ring obviously)

How about a 28yr old against a 22yr old with a 55lb weight difference?

28yr old= Steve Beaupre
Fought in the 1986 Commonwealth games in the fly weight division and placed 3rd- took bronze

22yr old= Me!!
Learned how to fight gloves and helmets (hockey equipment) with my friend Guy. I was 140lbs he was 210lbs. He pounded me over and over again from 15 to 16yrs old but I learned how to take a punch real well. Many of them real well.

Steve competed at 125lbs and was about 135. I was 190lbs and broke the 1000lb triple barrier at the time

In the YMCA there is a boxing area with bags, etc. He insisted I wear head gear against my wishes. THANK GOODNESS!!! I was cocky and came in like Tyson LOL. He covered and all of a sudden he hit me from out of no where. O WOW it felt like a hammer upside the head. I couldn't believe the power and he laughed. I said that's fuck all and came in again protecting myself and he just moved around picking me apart with his jab and right hook on the shoulder over and over again. Within 1min I was reeling in pain and threw in the towel. He laughed his ass off

I sparred with Billy Chow one time, at that time he was the world welter weight kicking boxing champion. I couldn’t do anything without getting tapped, and i had boxed a lot, wasn’t great but not a complete rookie.

He didn’t hit me hard, just a little tap, but he was so fast I couldn’t even see it coming, from all angles. I couldn’t move, punch or anything, every little thing I tried to do his glove was somewhere tapping my face.

Truthfully I hated it and I learned nothing except that a world champion could easily outclass me. I kinda had hoped he would have helped to teach me something. Instead he just made a fool out of me.

I was offered the chance to spar with him numerous times in the future and I declined, would rather box against someone that would teach me then just stop me with any movement I made. Only thing I learned with that was frustration, lol.

Jake Paul is a Money Grab He makes himself and Promotions Millions and Millions of Dollars When I was 18 I trained out of a club on Hastings Street Vancouver called the Astoria Boxing Club a Boxer who trained there Manny Sobral a Canadian and IBO Champion of the World called out Oscar Dela Hoya Non stop thru his Career and Status as Champion and Dela Hoya Ducked his ass because Manny was a great fuckin Boxer with a Solid Knock out punch , So you Knock out a Big Money Draw like Dela Hoya and that Mother Fucker's Stock drops faster than u can say Joe Cunts Dog , next thing you know these guys are back at starting all over again and the money club is turned upside down on its head , I was in a Boxing club in Toronto News Boys there was a big fight coming up and the news was crews interviewing a light heavy weight guy that trained there he had a shot at a Canadian Title , He stopped the interview to watch this kid hit the bag and he said to everyone there keep this guy away from me he is a Money makers worst nightmare then he gave the kid props on his murderous hooks he was landing on the bag , So unfortunately its a Big Fuckin money game and not at all like Rock Movies , Also dont forget Lee Murray knocking out Goof ball Tito one Punching him when Tito was Champ , Media is just Media its all Hype they wont let a real Killer near any of there little world Champions or Fake Pauls because it ends the Hype Mystique and stops that money train dead on its tracks !!

The Taylor Serrano fight was probably the best on the card lol.
Serrano won. By a lot. The brit bitch head-butted her so many times when the ref wouldn't separate them that it was infuriating.

The ref was HORRRRIBLE. You can't let an inside fighter who ducks and dives before exploding up stay stuck up against the other fighter or the other fighter gets shredded.

As for Paul, it just shows how little he trains and how terrible his trainer is. For the time he has, he should be a walking killer by now. He's clearly not taking his fighting seriously because Tyson should have been dead after the 3rd. I don't know if a fix was in to keep Tyson's ref unblemished, but Paul certainly wasn't trying to hurt him. Tyson did more damage to himself in the way of his knee on the way into the ring than Paul did in 8 rounds.

Even tyson didn't slip and follow with many hooks or uppercuts like he used to. Sometimes you could even see him hesitate or pause when he had an opening. Maybe he's just trigger shy now but it all seemed off in a lot of ways. Yea the Taylor fight was rough too, I'd never be proud of a win like that. I was actually rooting for Taylor but I think serrano fought better that night.

Watch the fight in slow motion
It's a joke. They both wanted the payday for going all 8 rounds
Mike only had to last 4 rounds to get an extra 5 mil. If not he had to get a " I love Jake paul" tattoo
Other then that the paydays were already determined. Jake even said he let off at the end. Tyson could barely move forward, just standing flat. Hes probably been in bed ever since.
He Spent a week in bed after the jones fight and that was 4 years ago and a exhibition.

I think I’ve watched the whole fight like 15 times, and in slow motion.
I have no explanation as to why Mikes timing was on to dodge punches, but when he’d feint and set himself up, he just didn’t follow thru in the earlier rounds when he was still fresh. Or after he connected he didn’t complete with combinations but back out, he was doing the opposite of what he trained for.

By 4th round he was gassed, and towards the end Jake did take it easy, but no easier than Tyson was on him in the early rounds. Mind you Mike always gassed in later rounds, good thing he was good at finishing the fight early.

Truthfully I don’t think either were going for blood, they should have kept it as an exhibition fight and none of this, “it was fixed” nonsense would be happening right now. I think everyone would have still watched.

Now if Mike really did have that bad of a gut issues weeks before hand, I can state first hand, stomach issues like that suck the life out of you. You can’t eat right and who knows what the effect the medication has on you, especially when his age.

What I’d like to see is a rematch, let Mike train for a full year and get completely healthy, fix his leg, and wear 10oz gloves.

People underestimate what gear does for an older man. I can attest that it makes an enormous difference. Anyone that thinks he wasn’t on something doesn’t understand that a man at 58 does not look that thick. No way you can attain that level of musculature without a bit of help.

Any of you young guys will understand once you get over 50. I try to fantasize that I could keep the size I have now if I was natural at my age and I even notice a big difference in my physique between trt and trt plus. It’s like night and day now compared to when I was 43. At 43 I could drop to trt or a bit less and still maintain what I gained. I go to trt now and get soft really quick.

Anyhow I am not saying it was fixed, I think they were both just taking it easy.

The Jones fight wasn’t that bad, it had more action than the Jake Paul fight.

Before the fight somebody had pointed out to me that all the clips online where Tyson looked pretty good were extremely short. Seems like there is a good chance that he was gassed in very short order which would of course have contributed to how bad this whole thing turned out.
