Interesting read on SHBG

This is an interesting read. I am still a bit confused about SHBG, I know in terms of compounds people consider things that have an affinity to SHBG like Winny to have a desirable effect of additionally making more T available. However, I gather that what's happening is that the bound SHBG is a good thing as it's still there (not simply decreased), and interacts with cells but won't occupy T any longer?
