If you want to see a great sport, not the BB and PL stuff but still is awesome. Look at Pole Vaulting

I have been in the power and strength game all my life and I am 62 (there is a difference between strength and power... google it).... and one of the sports that amazes me the most is pole vaulting. The men are approaching 20 ft and the women are close to 17 ft. The amount of variables they are dealing with when trying to go over the bar is mind boggling.

How long does my pole have to be? how stiff should my pole be? How far should my running distance be for each height? How fast should I be running to get the pole the right angle to the bar? How much stickum should I put on my pushing hand? How hard do I push, when, and at what height do I do this ...to get over the bar? When I push up to get over the bar when do I release? How much do I push horizontally to get over the bar? When I am over the bar when do I push away from the poll to ensure I get over the bar without hitting it? And I have probably missed a lot of the variables but damn very complex. There is a lot to to do with speed technique power and strength. Here is one of the women's video's... not hard to watch at all if your a guy. If your a girl checkout some men's pole vaulting... you will like

Always been impressed by this but way too scared of being impaled to try it. In the past I have suggested a modification to the decathlon where javelin throwers would have a chance to eliminate their competition by throwing at the pole vaulters while they were in the air. In biathlon they ski and shoot guns so there is some precedent set.

I does seem to pull in some attractive women!

I like the javelin idea ... but they can only throw at the men pole vaulters ... the women are to hot. Shot putters and discus throwers should be able to throw at the runners. Fucking hammer throwers are just crazy friggin animals... They can throw at anyone. lol

I love the little addidas short the ploe vaulting women wear, very appealing, very little cloth.

I use to throw shot and discus. Went to Canada games twice... Like this was 77 Charlottetown, nfld and 81 thunder Bay Ont. Damn I was practicing for one meet made a throw ... young girl runs out in front ... boom right in side of head... lucky only 12lb shot and it was a glancing blow. Off to hospital she went. She was ok, scared the fucking shit out of me. I did fairly well at high school meets as I was In Ottawa and had a coach. Moved to NB, Not a coach in site. All I did was read books ... no internet or video back then ... bought my own shot and discuss and practiced throwing. Made qualifying throws... would have been nice to have had a coach as I came 3rd in discus in 77without one ... I went down hill after that lol.

"How long does my pole have to be? how stiff should my pole be?"

These are questions I used to ask myself when I was younger as well...

Isanbaeva was my favourite watching 2012 London olympics
Bettors can do arbitrage too, if they see that different bookies are offering different odds. For example, if you see that a bookie is offering 1:1 odds that the Eagles will win http://bettingtipsx.com/ , and another is offering 10:1 odds that the Eagles will win, you can bet against the Eagles at the first bookie, and bet for the Eagles at the second.
