Erection problems

Sorry I’ve been away for a period of time , I’ve went through a bit of depression as my surgery was canceled due to COVID just days before . But I have been to the doctor my blood work came back pretty good. Ironically my test was still low at 100mg per week and he told me some of my medication lowers my testosterone levels, So he increased that slightly to 150mg per week and I feel better even my mood has been better . I was told chronic pain hurts your erection as well as anxiety. I’m on 45mg morphine sulphate 3 x Daily for pain. He stated after surgery and I heal I should be able to drop down to 100-125 mg of testosterone because I won’t need the pain or anxiety medication. I’ve also been taking a fantastic medication for my ED so things have been slightly better I’m happy to report. SaltyDawg

What's the medication you've been taking?

TRT isnt a magic boner pill for everyone, regardless of dose. I've tried everything from 80-225mg/wk and still havent found a dose that Im completely satisfied width. It's a balancing act of many different hormones. I use cialis a lot and it works great.

I’ve been taking opioid pain medication for chronic pain as well as medication for depression and anxiety and a sleep medication. At my age TRT was prescribed by my physician and I’m happy with the dose for now if it keeps working this way I feel no need to change it anymore . SaltyDawg

Both meds you listed can be pretty rough for ED. I was on Tramecet for a while and it was pretty tough. I don't know the anti-depressant your on, but the same thing. It can also make it impossible to ejaculate.

Yes there comes a point during sex that not being able to ejaculate becomes stressful and frustrating for both parties. I’m just hoping my doctor is right that things will get better after my surgical intervention. SaltyDawg

I don't know your level of depression, so take this at your own discretion. But I would consider coming off the anti-depressants and maybe talking to a new doctor. If you're getting a new one in 5 years anyway, why wait? Educate yourself as you mentioned then go interview some doctors.

Good luck man

Thanks I really appreciate all the input from you members there are a lot of knowledgeable people here and I’m glad to have found this place. SaltyDawg
