Erection problems

I thank you all for your help and input on my situation, I’ve been doing a lot of reading since joining as well as searching online for information, I don’t believe what I’m asking of him is unreasonable, I’d like to make a small increase in my dose from 100mg to 125mg to see how I feel as I’m back to having some of the same symptoms as before , Such as erection quality and being tired all the time and then going to bed and having a hard time sleeping. But if I increase my dose on my own by procuring some testosterone online to add to my prescription to bring the dose up to where I want to try it and by the off chance he gives me the bloodwork I have further explaining to do as to why it is high and then I risk losing my prescribed medication

See this is where my frustration comes into play , As I said my Doctor is very old , I’ve never seen my bloodwork , I was told I had low testosterone, And he wrote me a prescription for Delatestryl and I brought it in and he showed me the proper amount to draw up and how to inject it . I was advised that it will be a life long thing and I would start to feel better in about 3 weeks, Then the depression came back but not as severe I was told it was my body reaction to the hormones being replaced and that it is just an adjustment period , So that being said he wrote me another prescription for Wellbutrin and gives me samples of cialis when he has it, I did call his office in the morning out of curiosity and asked for my bloodwork from when he started me on this dose and the receptionist told me he doesn’t give that out as he likes to explain these things to his patients because we don’t understand the medical terminology. I can’t get a new primary care provider due to the shortage in my area and even when mine retires I am to be placed on a wait list, This is one of the many reasons I’ve joined a place like this , I’m trying to educate myself enough to help take care of my own health in the short term until I can get adequate help. I don’t have private bloodwork clinics in my area so things are becoming quite frustrating as I do have some other medical conditions I’m working on that requires some pretty serious surgery and I want to be as strong and healthy as I can be going into it . Then I can really work on my health and fitness goals after my recovery is complete.
Holy old fuck. How about if I beat up your doctor?

I was worried you were in an underserved area, that sucks.

Canadian citizens have the right to see there bloodwork. He has to give you your blood work. Too my knowledge its against the law. Someone correct me if im wrong.

Basically correct Harley. The information belongs to you but nothing physicals does. They can charge you reasonable fees for their time putting it together and supplies like paper, printing and cd's. I try to make friends with the office staff as sometimes they will let me take pictures (all hush hush) of the files which avoids all that.

And a few provinces have systems like what @flexappeal brought up, @SaltyDawg check and see if yours does.

I wouldn't want u to just increase to make ur dick work.
How about we get a full list of what your taking supplements, weed, anti depression pills need to now everything that your taking.dont leave anything out.

Lets alao get a blood pressure moniter amd check that, dosn't hurt to grab a glucose moniter and check that, should have that anyway if your on trt.

Also callbur doc again tell him youll need to see those labs. Chances are your gonna have to do more labs, if your in an area that have no walk ins, then your gonna have to drive to find one.

Are u in alberta/ bc Saskatchewan? Youbcan get a lab req from babaylon phone app from telus

I’m in Nova Scotia, Look up our doctor shortage issues , I will post some of the information you asked after we get our children off to school.

I dont understand what a doctors shortage has to do with getting your bloodwork. Im from the maritimes. I know all about shortages.i still get my bloodwork.

Getmaple.com can get you lab req for whatever you want. Call your 811 some of the provinces have a deal now with getmaple where its free 811 will give you the other number for that line.

Next option is to call truebalance healthcare ill post the site, call and talk to donna , she will set you up with your own private clinic all done by telemedicine. Donna can be a bitch but she knows what shes doin youll talk to her once and thats it.the next person you talk to will be the clinic she hooks you up with. If your under 35 though truebalance wont touch you.

Iv given you some great options, and some pointers on where to go next i dont mind helping, but you gotta help your self too. Pitty party's and Excuses will get you no where.

Best of luck.

I thank you for the information, I will look into it , Pitty and excuses aren’t my thing I’m the type of individual that doesn’t ask for anything that is why I took to the online search and found a community to start helping myself and I appreciate each and every member that extended me with help and information.

No at this point I’m not worried before intercourse we have been married a long time and she is incredibly beautiful and understanding so that sort of thing doesn’t bother me, Just I expect it to be much better on TRT maybe I expect too much, I haven’t been sleeping well so I’m wondering if that would affect it , My Dr has me on morphine for pain 3 x daily , He also has me on a drug called Wellbutrin because I’ve had bouts of depression in the past but I’m over that now and he told me that drug doesn’t cause ED he said it makes you feel more energetic and it helps sex drive because you have more energy and are in an improved mood. The cialis does help but as I mentioned before I was shocked at the high cost of it. I’ve done some looking online for it but I don’t feel confident buying from a website as for quality and also afraid of being scammed and some of the products come from India . I did find some that has more in the package but is seems like you get more the the money but I don’t know if it crosses any rules to say the brand so if I decide to try it this will be a live and learn situation.
Morphine? I hated morphine, it dries you out, makes you sleepy, and kills motivation. Well, any pain med in sufficient dosage will do that, but morphine is garbage.

Welbutrin has worked well for me and some others I know.

Have you made any progress?

There are clinics that you can pay to have blood work done and ask them to check whatever. Have you considered the fact that you might be ghey ? @Sorbate ❤️❤️

Yeah morphine is horrible. I was using short acting and only really got 45 min of true clarity and no pain, rest was stoned, or coming off and in pain.
And it constipated me so bad that after 7 days I had to give myself an enama.

I was on short and long for about 6 months before I was switched to something far better. Was up to a gram/day. I was a pale, bloated, cold-sweating mess when my surgeon saw me. Short-acting has its place, but if you're in chronic pain you need long acting. Anything less is too hard on the body.

I was taking 90 mg a day. The nerve pain I had was unbearable and I needed to work. I’d take 30 mg, then be stoned for 20 min, had to be careful while cutting, then I’d hit the sweet spot and I’d run like a maniac trying to get as much done as I could until the pain started to return. I usually got about 45 min to an hour.

I took restoralax every day to help with constipation.
My lips started to crack, my tongue dried out and felt like it split.
I had to stop I hated the way I felt. That was after about a month.
Thank god I didn’t get withdrawal.

I had terrible withdrawals, but I was on heavy meds for about a year and a half. Once I had my surgery I dropped my dosage in large increments and was off within 6 weeks. I don't remember much of that time, hell, I don't remember much of that year and a half, but I remember drinking beer and sitting in a hot bath shaking the entire time. Being in the water helps calm the nerves, it's like a big warm blanket. When I say it helped, it was better than not, but in no way did I feel any real relief. Barely sleeping for days. Fun times.
When I went in for surgery the anesthesiologist asked what I was taking and what dose so I told him, and he said, no you're not, there's no way. I had my bottles there, he looked at the bottle and that was the end of that convo. lol

I'm glad I went through that in my 20s, b/c the second time I came off of pain meds it was hard, but I couldn't do it the same way. I had to cut the dose back over months. I had no desire to go through that hell again. Fuck that shit.

I wish someone would have told me about stool softeners, self-administering enemas, b/c I ate a crapload of AllBran and drank Metamucil like it was tang, and it didn't help. It was not a fun time.

My buddy was on a pretty large dose after his second back fusion, and one day he hated the way he felt and just stopped. After being on for like 2 years.
He told me he just laid on the floor for 2 weeks. Said it was horrible.
Ever since then he only uses short acting morphine to help when the pain gets the worst.
He is hoping this is last surgery, it was number 5. They have fused I bet 1/3 of his spine now.
They offered him a long acting opiate and he refused the script asked for 10 mg hydromorphine fast acting.

I dunno, I would take the long acting, b/c it works, but all of it is hard on you. Once you adjust to a low dose it's not bad, but its insidious. What works for a while no longer works, and it's a slow degradation. Even at my worst prior to my last surgery I still went fishing and hiking, but it would destroy me for days. You have to do something or you go nuts, and as hard as it is on you afterwards it's so much better to be moving. That's the other side of the meds they drive you. And, it's that extra push that enables you to salvage a bit of your existence. That's why I would go with long acting, but pain is exhausting, distressing, and very hard on your heart and psyche.

Now that I think of it I know how your buddy feels. I have some short acting stuff, and prefer it, b/c long acting is hard on you. It's good that he can manage without. I did my best for as long as I could, but short acting made me moody, well, they both do, but at some point I needed it all the time. Glad I'm not in that situation, and hope I don't wind up back there. Your buddy's situation sounds rough.

I've had success just going to different walk-in clinics and getting blood work done. describe symptoms and ask if you can have certain things tested. They will give you the sheet then I go get blood taken. I go back to the clinic a week after and ask if they can print me a copy.

Also, I missed this post back in March, and maybe it's been said already, but "normal range" is bullshit. They just dropped the normal range in the US again last month. The normal range 30 years ago is twice what it is today, so how is that normal?

edit: the more ghetto the walk in the less they give a fuck.

I have the same problem, my doctor does not like researching anything and never has any suggestions that may seem to solve my issues. I could look at my blood work all day and I still would not know what is causing the issue of ED. I am a trial and error sort of guy (that is my persoanl preference and I increase things one change at a time so know what causes certain effects). What I am suggesting below is what I have done and it has worked for me :)

-I would start upping my self administered test, add in some anti-estrogen and find the sweet spot for that
-I would up the cialis, viagra or a combo of both ( find a source with reasonable prices, there is a lot out there)
-I may and I did add low dose tren cause this makes my erections go through the roof
-if this all fails pt141 give a lot of people massive hards on for long duration, it seem to direct all your blood to your erectile tissue

I would try different combination of these and then get referred to an endocrinologist. Those guys know hormones and are more likely to solve your problem. I solved my problem by my self and I get my blood work done every 3 months to make sure nothing is out of wack, your endo can order blood work as well.
