There is really nothing wrong with taking precautions to protect the vulnerable in our society but I have to agree we are so far left.
There is an MP asking the PM for a top up for people on Welfare because of the virus. This is the shit that drives me crazy.

My grandmother had died from the corona virus. I tend to disagree with all the conspiracy theories and those not taking it seriously. We’ve really been hit hard with it here in Montreal.
That said, we are far too leftist imo. These massive handouts and overall ridiculous lib gouvernement actions make me sick. I’m a firm believer in actions and more should have been done to lock down our borders long ago before sacrificing so many lives

Exactly why we needed to take better care to protect the vulnerable. The older population should have been told to isolate and have everything brought to them, plus take precautions.
But the younger population should have been allowed to continue. I bet if China and the WHO were honest, things would have turned out different.

I to take it serious. I hope out of this comes some good. I hope people learn to wash hands more and be careful when they sneeze and cough. I do go about my day but am just careful in how I do things and practice social distancing. I was worried a lot at first but now its become my new normal

Our elderly have been hit brutally hard by this virus, but by no means does it only hit the old. We set our elderly up for disease by isolating them in understaffed LTC facilities, without a clear idea of how this would aid in the transmission of the virus. We are seeing everything from the typical respiratory aspects of influenza to liver, kidney, heart failure, digestive illness, and neurological disorders (Guillain–Barré syndrome) in survivors. It causes cytokine storms in the very young as well as a bizarre form of Kawasaki's disease in prepubescent kids. This is a nasty illness, and every day we seem to be finding new developments in how COVID attacks us and is transmitted.
We have thousands of healthcare personnel battling this thing on a daily basis and many of them getting sick and dying while doing so. They are far from weak.

I have alot of internal frustration with regards to not being able to train at a gym and just people acting like they are nuts when I am out in public but unfortunately this is the way things have become.

I agree this should have been handled much better. Lockdowns immediately could have stopped so much spread. Our government fumble fucked that badly. Now in my opinion we are acting too slow to get the Economy going. Trudeau and his posse love this they get so much power and few people are holding them accountable for their actions. It’s easy to spread fear and avoid legitimate concerns when the liberal media is in their pocket.
Does this disease exist. Ya. But what are we going to do??? Just continue to print money and absolutely destroy Canada for generations??? Look the way I feel is this. If you are scared of it stay in. If you are vulnerable most definitely stay in. Let the ones who want to carry on with life carry on.
Here is an analogy I like to use....
Thousands die in car accidents yearly. We could stop this very easily.
We could slow the speed limit to 5km per hour. That should eliminate almost every vehicle death out there. But we don’t do that?? Why not? Well probably because it’s inefficient and we are all ok with sacrificing a certain amount of safety to keep the world moving at a certain pace.

It’s not like there is a snapshot of everyone tested at the same time. So we really don’t know the whole story
