What Workout am I doing?

started walking every day last december late in my 43rd year on snow/grass and by the end of winter was running 8k every day in the snow(humble brag maybe?). recently have been incorporating sprints and fartleks and now pull ups via a special tree where i do my running. should point out it was these high intensity exercises that really started to solve my joint and lower back problems, not to jinx anything

just want to know what exactly i am doing three nights a week with the following routine, all done non stop beginning to end with a few sips of water during. i only run on snow and grass btw, if i'm ever on concrete/gravel it's to get back on the grass/snow

1) warm up run 300-400 meters up to the tree with only a few steps of walking at the approach
2) do one set of pull ups
3) hit the ground and run 100 meters around some trees and back to the tree again and repeat this for ten sets (10 sets pull ups + 900 meters total running in between each set)

repeat above one more time for a total of 600-800 meters warmup runs, 20 sets pull ups and 1800 meters of running in between the sets, all done without stopping. followed with casual random wind down running/sprinting/pull ups for maintenance

the tree has two parallel branches by the way, not exactly parallel but close enough and i can alternate directions to even things out. they are almost perpendicular to the tree with only slight angle upward. maybe about the thickness of a soda can where i grab them and i use open palm/thumb-on fingers-side neutral grip. i have to be careful with my shoulder so staying away from dips/push ups/weights for now

just wanting to see what that workout might do after a few months, i could barely do a few pull ups when i started with bad form and now at 4 pull ups. i want to gain muscle but will condition myself first before going to weights and more intensive weight training, unless this gets me swoll first lol. cheers

You can do a lot of great things just at home without the gym and you got the right idea.
pull ups. Air squats. Push ups. Planks. Burpees. Keep up the good work and keep getting stronger

still doing this routine three days per week and am now doing five reps of pull ups with better form compared to when i started and could barely do one or two with bad form

now i am going into phase two of this routine where i make a contraption to increase pull up weight gradually. my idea is to hang two bags from the branches and wear a weight belt with specially stitched in hooks on the sides. then i can run up to the tree and quickly hook the hanging bags to my sides and do the pull ups. my idea is to literally bring a container of sand and add a measured amount of sand to the bags ie 1/4 cup each time i go out

once i reach certain weight in the bags i can replace the sand with an equally heavy object like rocks/weights to free up space and continue to gradually add sand with each workout. was wondering if there are any bags made specially for this. was thinking similar to a weight bag for a canopy tent becuase it is vertical and cylindrical

just answered my own question, instead of adding hooks to a weight belt i will add hooks to the hanging weights and use this:

will report back with pics when set up

made it to seven reps and got the sand bags sorted. will add 100 grams of sand each time i go out for about 150 times a year so 15 ish kg per year. will increase protein intake if my weight increases and will keep the same routine as above

was wondering since i'm new to weight training. i notice after a set the stiffness in the biceps will disperse with running in between sets. so i wonder what it is like to do traditional weightlifting with rest periods in between. for me the stiff feeling is very uncomfortable and like my arms will explode and does not go away quickly. but this running in between sets for 75-100 meters takes it away. not that i am lifting any serious weight but in my estimation if i keep adding weight on a granular level ie in grams every time i go out then eventually i will(hopefully?)

also if i do this the blood that would typically be pooling(?) in the arms from the set that causes the stiff feeling will be forced to circulate and maybe this has an unknown effect on how the rest of the body will gain as opposed to just running. in future will consider adding sand filled bracelets and anklets and also other exercises to the routine

if you want to stay out side and keep doing exercises try some of these things

-get or make a sled... put weight on it and push or pull it ... attach ropes
-grab a log or a stone and try to run or walk with it
-do steep hill runs
-do pushups between runs, or hand stand push ups against a tree
-make a weighted vest. put sand ot a stones in it and walk or run with it
-get a canvas bag, put sand in it, pick it up .... run with that

....etc etc etc

after so many months i got used to adding 100 grams of sand a day and it turns out was adding about 108 grams. now going to do a 2% increase every day and measure with a digital scale and keep track. there was a slight leak in one of the bags so am now using doubled-up grocery bags as liners. the bags are less than 4 kg each right now. cop told me i have to exercise somewhere else until covid restrictions are lifted so now have to find another special tree dang it

You’ll likely not see the same officer again, keep using your tree. And if you do, play stupid and apoligize. Tell him this was the only thing that kept you from wanting to kill yourself during the lockdown

Or just tell him to fuck off

He will likely never see that officer again.
I’m not really sure why you are so aggressive about this.
And then try to insult me by saying I’ll cower.
Truthfully I don’t see why I’d need to go out of my way to chase shit, especially in a situation where I wouldn’t win, where instead I’d just manipulate and be allowed to do what I wanted without having to “prove my point”
First off my interaction with said officer would be 2 minutes, he leaves, I jog around block and go back to tree.
You now get a ticket, likely bevome confrontational and are arrested and spend you day in jail. But hey, you showed them how much of a man you are, lol.

How is that insulting? U told him to play dumb I’m just saying if a cop tried to tell me I couldn’t be outside in the country where I pay taxes that pay his wage I’d laugh in his face I wouldn’t be all sneaky and play dumb he’s not doing anything wrong shou stand his ground and say beat it public servant!
